Colombia to Oppose Palestinian statehood bid

This comes as no surprise to me. Israel and Colombia are allies. Plus Colombians are contrarians and the fact Israel is not liked, makes them support Israel even more. From a Colombian view, they have the resources, Israel the technology. It’s a win win for both antions. In a  speech to the UN, Colombian President Miguel Santos defended Colombia’s decision to abstain from voting.

President Juan Manuel Santos defended Colombia‘s decision to abstain from voting on Palestinian statehood by asserting that bilateral diplomacy is the “only road” to lasting peace between Israel and the Palestinian National Authority in his speech on Wednesday to the United Nations General Assembly.

“We are concerned -like the rest of the international community- with the suspension of the peace talks and we urge -more than urge, we implore- the parties to return to negotiations as soon as possible, because this is the only, I repeat the only, road that leads to what we all want: two states living in peace and security,” said Santos.

“We therefore have to commit ourselves to strengthen and apply the peaceful methods of dispute settlement established under Chapter Six of the United Nations’ Charter. Because the more effective we are in the use of preventative diplomacy, the less need there will be for interventions.”

Colombia just gave the finger to the Progressive-Islamic Axis. I am sure, they will now be subject to attacks by Leftist NGOs and a future bombing campaign by NATO.  Actually they already have been. It never ends well for critics of Colombia.

The National Unity Party of Colombia and its Coalition Partner are not scared of the International community.

How Progressive traitors are dealt with in Colombia

In Colombia there is zero tolerance for Progressive traitors. Many Colombian Leftists have ties to Hugo Chavez or the FARC. These Colombian Progressives get positive publicity by the Global Press for there treasonous connections. Despite that, they are despised by many in the Colombian public. Usually Rightwing Ex AUC members take matters into their own hands.

Colombian peace campaigner and former Senator Piedad Cordoba has left the country after receiving death threats.

She has negotiated the release of a number of hostages held by the Farc guerrilla group, but the government accused her of helping the rebels.

She was banned from public office for 18 years

[….]

Ms Cordoba has in the past expressed fears that supporters of former Colombian president Alvaro Uribe may target her.

There has been a high-profile and public rift between the two politicians for years.

Ms Cordoba has been a staunch critic of Mr Uribe’s security policies. She accused the armed forces of human rights abuses and collaboration with illegal right-wing paramilitaries.

Mr Uribe has been highly critical of Ms Cordoba’s links with Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.

Good riddance to her. I support any measures Colombians do to maintain a strong country and keep the Bolivarian Progressives at bay.

After a near national death experience in the 90’s, Colombians will prveent any traitor assisting the enemies. Colombians don’t play.
