The Obama Progressive Regime like the Bourbon Ancien Régime

In what could be one of the biggest ironies of world history, the Progressive regime of Barack Hussein Obama is starting to resemble that of Bourbon France before the revolution. The reason it’s ironic is that It was the Progressives who lead and took over the French Revolution. The Totalitarian regime of Robespierre was the blueprint for other Leftist regimes like those of Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Castro, Amin, Chavez, Allende and Pol Pot. Now a Progressive version of the Ancien Régime is in power in America and Barack Hussein Obama is it’s Sun King!

What the great French historian Alexis de Tocqueville would make of today’s Obama administration were he alive today is anyone’s guess. But I would wager that the author of L’Ancien Régime and Democracy in America would be less than impressed with the extravagance and arrogance on display among the White House elites that rule America as though they had been handed some divine right to govern with impunity.

It is the kind of impunity that has been highlighted on the world stage this week by Michelle Obama’s hugely costly trip to Spain, which has prompted a New York Post columnist Andrea Tantaros to dub the First Lady a contemporary Marie Antoinette. As The Telegraph reports, while the Obamas are covering their own vacation expenses such as accommodation, the trip may cost US taxpayers as much as $375,000 in terms of secret service security and flight costs on Air Force Two.

History is sometimes a cruel joke. The Progressive destroyed the old Aristocratic system, only to become aristocratic elites themselves. Now their system is on the verge of destruction becasue of their arrogance. Barack Hussein Obama and Michelle Obama may well be remembered as the ones who arrogance lead to the fall of the Tranzi Totalitarian Progressive Regime in America.

Update: While our Sun King loots the treasury and lives the high life, our enemies threaten. Iran says it has dug graves for American troops.

The deputy commander of the Revolutionary Guard, General Hossein Kan’ani Moghadam, said graves for any attacking U.S. troops had been dug in Iran’s south-western Khuzestan province, where Iran buried Iraqi soldiers killed during the ruinous 1980-88 war between the Islamic republic and Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein’s regime.

‘The mass graves that used to be for burying Saddam’s soldiers have now been prepared again for U.S. soldiers, and this is the reason for digging this big number of graves,’ Moghadam said, according to the semi-official Fars news agency.

Moghadam, however, said American troops would likely not be able to set foot on Iranian soil, repeating warnings that Iran would retaliate against U.S. bases in the Gulf if there was an attack on Iran.

Barack Hussein Obama is blinded by his own ego, but our enemies see through him.

Both the American and French Revolutions come from the ideas of the Age of Enlightenment. However, they come from different schools of thoughts. The American Revolution was influenced by the Scottish School, which believed in Free Markets and Individualism. The French revolution was influenced by French School, which believed in the radical transformation of society via the State. The difference between the two was stark and the effects are still felt today. The Progressive Ideologies of Marxism, Stalinism, Nazism, Maoism, Fascism, the 3rd World Liberation Movement, Neo Wilsonian Compassionate Conservatism, the British Tory Progressive Conservatism and the American New Left all are inspired by the Jacobins and Robespierre.

The American Revolution is the major influence for the Conservative and Libertarian Ideologies which are based on Individualism.

In the video below, Glenn Beck contrasts the difference between the American and French Revolutions. Beck shows the roots of Progressivism and all the Ideologies spawned by it.
