Iowa Results should worry the GOP

Polls show Republicans despise Obama. The conventional wisdom is that Republcians will come out in huge numbers to vote him out. However, turnout for the Iowa caucauses was up only slightly over 2008. Clearly Conservatives don’t like their choices

But even if Romney wins the nomination, the Iowa results don’t bode well when it comes to assessing the Republican Party’s chances of beating President Obama in November. Though turnout was up from the 2008 caucuses, it was only up by a few thousand votes, even as GOP voter registration grew, more candidates were contesting the state and more Democrats and independents voted on the Republican side because there was no competitive Democratic race this time. Romney actually got six fewer votes this time than he did four years ago, but it was enough because nobody matched Mike Huckabee’s appeal.

Four years ago, Democrats were frothing at the mouth to win back the White House after two terms of President Bush. Starting from Iowa, the enthusiasm they felt was palpable — and they would have been ready to fight for whoever emerged as the nominee. The night he won the caucuses, Obama addressed a crowd with thousands of supporters going wild. We haven’t seen any of the GOP candidates attract that sort of affection.

Conservative may hate Obama, but they are not enthused over the candidates. This is what happens when a political party takes peopel for granted.  Just because the Right hates Obama, doesn’t mean they love the GOP.

Neo-Marxists plan to disrupt Iowa

The Regime backed OWS jerks are up to no good. Their latest plot is to disrupt the GOP Iowa Caucus. Currently the OWS leaders in that state are meeting to map out a strategy of mayhem.

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Already they have interrupted Michele Bachmann and drawn a withering putdown from Newt Gingrich as “all noise, no thought.”

Now, to the dismay of Iowa Republicans, Occupy activists in Des Moines are vowing to expand their protests as GOP presidential hopefuls converge on the state that speaks first in the race for the party’s presidential nomination.

[…]

Hundreds of Occupy activists from at least 10 states were expected to participate in a “People’s Caucus” near the Capitol to plot activities between now and the Jan. 3 caucuses. The activists are promising to interrupt candidates at events and camp out at their Iowa campaign offices. They say they want to change the political dialogue, but critics fear their tactics could tarnish Iowa’s reputation for civil political discourse ahead of the contest. Activists say mass arrests are possible.

A People’s Caucus? Isn’t that obvious to all these OWS are Marxists/Stalinist? Why is the GOP Establishment coddling these folks? Reagan stood up to Communism and instead Republicans, like Mitt Romney, kiss their asses! It’s time for a push back from the Right not catering to these traitors.

Grow some spine GOP.

Update: The cowardly GOP is planning on keeping it’s Caucus locations secret.

Threats to disrupt the Republican caucuses next week have prompted state GOP officials to move the vote tabulation to an “undisclosed location,” POLITICO has learned.

The state party has not yet told the campaigns exactly where the returns will be added up, only that it will be off-site from the Iowa GOP’s Des Moines headquarters.  The 2008 caucus results were tabulated at the state party offices, which sit just a few blocks from the state capitol.

Activist groups including the Occupy movement have indicated that they’ll attempt to interrupt rallies in the closing days before next Tuesday’s caucuses.

This is an act of cowards. Hold it at normal locations and have security present.
