Of all of the constituent groups on the left, the environmentalists take first prize for shamelessness by a mile. It’s bad enough when the global warming alarmists start invoking the Holocaust by calling skeptics “deniers”. It’s even more shameless when Jim Hansen talks about coal trains being like trains to a crematorium. But the WWF cranked this up to the next level.

The caption in the upper right says: “The tsunami killed 100 times more people than 9/11. The planet is brutally powerful. Respect it. Preserve it.”

Their chutzpah knows no bounds. There are no more dangerous people on earth than true-believing fanatics, and this kind of sense of moral entitlement shows them to be such people. Don’t let them out of your sight.

It should come as not surprise then that the IPCC has included in a number of non-peer-reviewed papers from WWF in their “consensus of experts” report.

Like most insane environmental groups, the WWF started out as a sane conservation group in the early 1960s. Then the cultists took over. And the money. It was discovered that charismatic megafauna brought the big money in. So when the climate became the rage in environmental circles, the polar bear became the icon. The rest of what happened was inevitable. You had all the elements for fraud and arrogance: money, crazy people, charismatic victims, and a cause that purported to involve Armegeddon.

It was inevitable. if a group imagines themselves to have the moral right to exploit the 9/11 victims, why wouldn’t they lie to the IPCC? The real question is why did the IPCC accept it at face value?
