After the 2006 War with Israel Hizb’Allah became the darling Of the International Left and the Islamic world. In 2008, they took over the government of Lebanon and now rule that nation with an iron fist. But its success has made them arrogant and they committed a strategic blunder.

When the Muslim Brotherhood led uprising against Bashar Assad began Hizb’Allah began to provide men to assist the regime. However, the Lebanese Shia organization did not realize what they had stepped into. They did not realize that their former allies al-Qaeda, under the guise of al-Nusra, were the muscle behind the revolt.

In a series of clashes al-Nusra has defeated Hizb’Allah repeatedly. The Lebanese terror group has suffered anywhere 500-800 dead. There are daily funerals in their South Lebanon stronghold. Many Lebanese have lost fear of the organization and are speaking out. Now even some Lebanese Shiites have turned against Hizb’Allah.

Haifa, Israel – Hizballah’s continuing alliance with embattled Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has the notorious Shia political and military movement navigating choppier waters than at any other time in recent memory.

Led by Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah – the Iranian-backed preacher rarely seen in public these days for fear he might be assassinated – Hizballah had been the unquestioned Shia force in Lebanon. But cracks have begun to appear as both internal dissent and external pressures have been brought to bear and reveal a vulnerability that had rarely, if ever, been seen before.

Shia leader Mohammed Ali al-Husseini accuses Nasrallah of “dragging Lebanon into the abyss and that the Shiites in Lebanon, and Lebanon itself, will pay a high price for this behavior,” Kedar said. “But also from inside Hizballah there are voices today – not out loud, but behind the scenes – which claim that gambling on the Syrian horse is gambling on the wrong horse, and Hizballah will be associated forever with Assad’s regime, especially its last brutal stages of life. This will hurt Hizballah and could even persuade Europe to place them on its list of terror organizations.”

[….]

On March 20 Israel’s Ynet.com reported that “a new political movement is gathering followers right in the Hizballah stronghold of Beirut’s southern suburb… Hizballah and its leader Hassan Nasrallah, once the undisputed stars of the Arab world, are rattled by surprise opposition from within their own ranks.”

The recently formed Movement for the Lebanese Citizen (MLC) is led by Imad Kamiche, a former Hizballah “operative.” Ynet.com – the online version of Israel’s highly regarded daily newspaper Yediot Ahronot – suggests MLC is “attempting to present an alternative to the rigidly Shiite framework represented by Hezbollah and Amal, and place the Lebanese citizen at the forefront, regardless of ethnicity.”

Hizb’Allah believed its own propaganda that it won the 2006 war against Israel. This emboldened them to intervene in Syria. The reality was they were not as good as they thought and encountered a more ruthless enemy in al-Qaeda.

Lebanese Sunnis are now flocking to al-Qaeda and are forming brigades. The next Lebanese civil war will begin when Assad finally falls. Hizb’Allah is a wounded animal and al-Qaeda will go for the kill.

In related news, the US is planning on supporting an airlift for the Muslim Brotherhood and al-Qaeda rebels.

Mideast powers opposed to President Bashar Assad have dramatically stepped up weapons supplies to Syrian rebels in coordination with the U.S. in preparation for a push on the capital of Damascus, officials and Western military experts said Wednesday.

A carefully prepared covert operation is arming rebels, involving Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar, with the United States and other Western governments consulting, and all parties hold veto power over where the shipments are directed, according to a senior Arab official whose government is participating. His account was corroborated by a diplomat and two military experts.

Twelve years after 9/11 the US is preparing to assist arming the same organization that hit us. This is a disgrace and its disgusting the major Rightwing blogs are not speaking out. PJ Media, Weasel Zippers, The Other McCain, Atlas Shrugs, Breitbart.com and Jihad Watch are the only blogs, other than this one, that are telling the truth on Syria. The other major Conservative blogs are openly supporting the Syrian rebels. This is a disgrace for the right.

The Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda ask for Patriot Missiles in Syria

12 years after we were attacked on 9/11, The US is now allied with al-Qaeda in Syria. The Obama regime and the McCain Wing of the GOP are now actively planning an intervention to install an Islamist regime in Syria. In an act of audacity, the Syrian Rebels composed of al-Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood are now asking for the US to provide them with patriot Missiles.

A Syrian opposition leader said Tuesday that he had asked the United States to defend rebel-held areas with Patriot missiles.

NATO already has Patriot surface-to-air missile batteries in NATO-member Turkey to help defend the country from potential airstrikes by President Bashar Assad’s regime.

Syrian opposition leader Mouaz al-Khatib — who appeared Tuesday as the representative of Syria at an Arab League summit meeting following the Assad regime’s suspension — said that he had asked Secretary of State John Kerry “to extend the umbrella of the Patriot missiles to cover the Syrian north and he promised to study the subject,” Reuters reported.

The insurgents have few weapons to counter Assad’s helicopter gunships and warplanes. Al-Khatib added that the United States should play a bigger role in helping end the two-year-old conflict in Syria, blaming Assad’s government for what he called its refusal to solve the crisis.

Al-Khatib, who is considered a moderate preacher, appeared at the summit despite his resignation as the head of the Syrian National Coalition on Sunday, when he slammed the lack of action by the international community. An estimated 70,000 Syrians have been killed in the two-year conflict.

Beware of when an Islamic leader is called a Moderate. It just means they are not as crazy as the other Islamists. Al-Qaeda is at the forefront of the revolt against Assad and the Muslim Brotherhood is providing them cover. Judging from our recent history, the US will probably intervene with support from both Parties. If this happens, I never again want to hear from any Democrats or Republican who does not oppose this intervention that they oppose Islamic terror.

As someone who saw 9/11 happen in real time, our support of al-Qaeda makes me sick and ashamed.

Egypt busts Hamas and al-Qaeda operatives in the Sinai

Reports that Hamas and al-Qaeda had a falling out seems to have been exaggerated. Operatives of both organizations have been arrested together by the Egyptian military.

Sinai security forces arrested 25 Hamas and Al-Qaida suspects attempting to cross from the northern peninsula to the Nile Delta in the South, according to Egyptian media sources.

According to the reports, the army and police force revealed a weapons cache containing explosives, anti-aircraft and anti-tank missiles in El-Arish. The suspects were allegedly found in possession of weapons, ammunition and satellite communications equipment, according to sources. They were also said to be found holding maps of strategic installations in the Sinai.

Al-Qaeda and Hamas both have as an influence Palestinian Muslim Brotherhood operative Abdullah Azzam. Both organizations are offshoots of the Muslim Brotherhood. This verifies what the Israelis have been claiming. Hamas is allowing al-Qaeda to set up shop in Gaza. This proves that Hamas is no longer in the Iran camp and is in the Muslim Brotherhood/al-Qaeda camp. This shows who is now the strong horse in the Middle East.

Obama Regime training Islamists

Obama loves to brag that al-Qaeda has been decimated. Facts on the ground say otherwise as is the case in Syria. Al-Qaeda’s affiliate, al-Nusra is at he forefront of the Syrian revolt against Assad. They have allies, the Muslim Brotherhood led Free Syrian Army. It seems that the Obama Regime is providing training to the same organization it claims is decimated.

(CNN) — Syrian rebels claim that hundreds of their fighters are being given sophisticated-weapons training organized and authorized by the United States at a camp in Jordan.

A senior rebel spokesman, who did not want to be named discussing a sensitive matter, would not comment on the nature of the personnel conducting the training, such as whether the personnel were military troops or contractors. But he said that 300 fighters had already completed the course and crossed the border into Syria on Thursday.

The training was said to include the use of anti-tank and anti-aircraft weaponry, the latter aimed at the particularly vital part of the regime’s military might, which has thus far kept rebels often in check.

More rebel fighters are currently undergoing training, the spokesman said.

This is a repeat of what we did in the Balkans in the 90’s We are actively supporting an organization that Obama is doing drone strikes in Pakistan against. This is very confusing and makes no sense.
