This every Saturday after the Saturday Lecture open NCAA thread for those of us watching football and not wanting to soil the respectable threads with cries of ‘Hook ‘em Horns’ or ‘Soooeeeee Piggie!’ and we sure don’t want to run Ralphie through a serious thread! Some of our writers would get really mad. This will be a stickie at the top of the page, its football and open, please see the ‘normal’ yet excellent threads below; get crazy and open two tabs!

Here is week 11’s BCS rankings, brought to you by ESPN…

1 Oregon 9-0
2 Auburn 10-0
3 TCU 10-0
4 Boise State 8-0
5 LSU 8-1
6 Stanford 8-1
7 Wisconsin 8-1
8 Nebraska 8-1
9 Ohio State 8-1
10 Oklahoma State 8-1

.

Alabama lost two this year, so they are out of the chase. I still dont think that Oregon is the best team in the land.

This week’s matchups from ESPN:

12:30 PM ETNo. 24 Kansas State at No. 17 Missouri

3:30 PM ET Georgia at No. 2 Auburn

7:00 PM ETNo. 25 Texas A&M at Baylor

7:15 PM ET No. 19 Mississippi State at No. 12 Alabama

7:15 PM ETNo. 23 South Carolina at No. 22 Florida

Now, some of you heard me complain about the bad officiating at the Steelers versus the Bengals game on Monday night.  I wasn’t being just a home team guy…Here is vindication! :

The Steelers have been informed by the National Football League that two penalties that almost cost them in Monday night’s victory in Cincinnati should not have been called, the Post-Gazette has learned.

We're not easily offended and don't want people to think they have to walk on eggshells around here (like at another place that shall remain nameless) but of course, there is a limit to everything.

Play nice!
