Local Marine asks a star for a date and gets one.

Hollywood actress Mila Kunis will accompany a U.S. Marine from Grove City to a military celebration in North Carolina after he posted a YouTube video inviting the “Friends with Benefits” star to the dance.

Sgt. Scott Moore of the 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marines posted the video on Thursday, asking the 27-year-old actress to November’s Marine Corps Ball in Greenville, N.C., sporting his combat fatigues from his post in Musa Qala, Afghanistan.

“Hey Mila, it’s Sgt. Moore, but you can call me Scott,” the 22-year-old Marine said in the video after flirtatiously tipping his thick sunglasses down the bridge of his nose to ask her to the ball.

“Take a second, think about it and get back to me,” he proposed at the conclusion of the 19-second YouTube invitation.

Ms. Kunis told Fox News she would accompany the Marine to the dance in an interview earlier this week after some persuading from “Friends with Benefits” co-star Justin Timberlake.

“You need to do this for your country,” the actor and songwriter told Ms. Kunis during the interview.

Sgt. Moore joined the Marine Corps in July 2007 after graduating from Grove City High School. He’s due home in October, which will leave him time to prepare for his date for the Marine Corps Ball, a tradition that celebrates the founding of the service in 1775.
