I’m sure we’ve all heard the story about that child in North Carolina, (congratulations to the good people of that state by the way, you’ve won the most thuggish SEIU goons prize for this year,) who had her lunch stolen from her by supposed adults and replaced with some greasy deep fried chicken nuggets, and then got to take a bill home to Mom. In case you haven’t, here it is.
Now, as you watch the news report, we see a thorough job of reporting that manages to miss the mark completely, which is a sad commentary on our society and the level of decay we have allowed ourselves to reach. We learn what a healthy packed lunch as provided by U.S.D.A. guidelines consists of. We learned that the mother actually did hit those guidelines and packed a lunch which should have passed inspection by the hired SEIU thug tasked with terrorizing the kiddies that day. We learned that the child actually ate a government provided lunch which was no where near the U.S.D.A. guidelines that they accused the mother of missing. (The little girl ate only 3 chicken Nuggets, and nothing else.) We learned that the school magnanimously came to the decision not to bill Mom the $1.25 for the lunch which was forcibly provided.
The outrage however has nothing to do with any of these facts. The outrage is that there even exists a lunch inspection at all. Where do these people get off injecting themselves into the private business between parent and child. Well, as it turns out, the Obamacare law gives the local school districts this authority, and even the responsibility to accomplish this act of brutality by 2014. This school district just happened to take the initiative to get er done quicker. Maybe, our elected representatives should have bothered to read this piece of crap law, while it was still a bill. Remember in November, not a Single Republican voted for this monstrosity, which directs union goons to steal food from small children.
Between this, and last week’s announcement of catholic charities hospitals being forced to provide contraceptive and abortive services as a part of their care, and the further determination that they must pay for the party as well, (even though the President magnanimously decided in the same arbitrary manner that insurance companies would pay the bill, while catholic charities must still perform the procedures,) it should be clear to even the dimmest among us that this Law gives the Executive Branch unprecedented authority to interject themselves into our daily lives. The problem with this Health Care law, beyond the fact that it is completely not affordable, destined to destroy the world’s finest health care system, will cause rationing, artificial shortages of medications, grant imbecile bureaucrats the ability to make medical decisions which previously were in the hands of medical professionals, it also gives those same bureaucrats broad authority to make all manner of private decisions based on a supposed health impact with absolutely no recourse available for the governed.
The way this Law is written, as with almost every piece of bilge that flows from Washington D.C., allows for those aforementioned bureaucrats to increase the scope and authority of their mandate, and to do it unchecked by any type of oversight. What happens when a bureaucrat determines that playing with rockem sockem robots is a health risk for small children who are not getting enough exercise for their liking? What happens when these bureaucrats determine that your sissy drink from Starbucks is placing a burden on the health system because too much caffeine is bad for your heart? Before you accuse me of being silly or hyperbolic, how many of you thought an adult would tear the bagged lunch from a four year old child and send a note home to his mother that the lunch did not measure up? How many of you thought that this same child would be told that her mother was doing a bad job of raising her?
Liberals are dangerous people and must be defeated. I can’t wait for these people to be gone.
