Although Assad’s forces are wining in Homs, in other parts of the country Al Nusra Front and the Free Syrian Army continue to gain ground and bleed Assad’s forces. In a first for the Syrian Islamic rebels, Nusra uses Russian made OSA 9K33 to shot down an Assad helicopter.
Al Nusra Front is way more dangerous than their parent organization al-Qaeda. Not even their Hezbollah enemies have this type of radar based anti-aircraft equipment. This organization needs to be watched closely as they are not your normal run of the mill Jihadists.
