Andy Card: “We have a responsibility to make sure Jeb runs”

The media this weekend was pushing the Bush mafia. That family had a gathering this weekend to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the disastrous administration of Poppy Bush. The first Bush administration marked the end of the Republican Party’s dominance in Presidential election and the permanent loss of their former Northeastern and Upper Midwest suburban base. The 2nd Bush administration ended in economic collapse and the rise of the Obama Regime. You would think that the GOP would want to move away from the Bush legacy, but sadly that is not the case.

Former Chief of staff under George W. Bush, Andy Card wants Jeb Bush to run. He believes it is the responsibility of the Bush Mafia to push Jeb to run in 2016.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — More than a hundred Republican Party elders gathered this weekend in Texas to celebrate George H.W. Bush’s legacy. But many of the event’s participants had another, much simpler agenda: launching a Jeb Bush presidential campaign.

The two-day festivities featured a widely covered speech by Jeb. And on the sidelines, former Bush retainers were frank about their hopes that the eldest son could save a party the family has led on and off since 1988.

“We have a responsibility to make sure Jeb runs,” said longtime Bush adviser Andy Card after the speech.

“If Jeb Bush does not run, shame on us.” Card added, “I would work in a Jeb administration in a heartbeat.”

“Look at all of us,” said another former campaign aide, Jill Collins, excitedly motioning to an auditorium filled with former ambassadors, appointees, and cabinet members. “We are all ready to fundraise and start planting yard signs. We have all done it before and we will do it again.”

[….]

Sununu one-upped him, “If Mitt Romney had had the Jeb package, we would have won in 2012.”

The media wants Jeb Bush as the nominee because it would make Hillary’s election a sure bet. Clinton already is the favorite for 2016 and thanks to the demographic and electoral college advantages; nominating Jeb would make her job easier.

Jeb Bush comes from a  family of political losers that destroyed the once formidable Republican Party and turned it into the political joke it is today.  Nominating him would ensure an electoral disastrous in an already tough political environment for the GOP.  I know Karl Rove needs  a paycheck, but the country is at risk. The GOP needs someone in 2016 who will take unorthodox stances and possible pick off some Democrat demographics top even have a hope of winning the Presidency. Jeb is not that guy.

Stay out the Bushes!
