Welcome to the Week 9 Open. The big game is PSU at The Shoe in Columbus, so let’s get started:
|
#2 Penn State |
#6 Ohio State |
3:30 PM |
PSU is a full touchdown dog at OSU. These two teams are evenly matched and this should be a Classic Big 10 matchup. That said, a touchdown dog? PSU? nope, they beat that spread on the road.
|
#14 NC State |
#9 Notre Dame |
3:30 PM |
NC State came out of nowhere this year, the Wolfpack are on the road at the Golden Domers for their biggest test of the season, The Wolfpack are 7 point dogs in front of the Touchdown Jesus. If ND can keep it to one loss this year they should make the playoffs due to strength of schedule, they ALWAYS have a tough schedule. I think they can beat this spread and make a statement.
| 7:15 PM |
The Bulldogs are 3 point favorites on the road at College Station. I see no reason why they can’t beat that spread.
|
#21 USC |
10:45 PM |
USC’s injuries have really destroyed their promising seaosn, well look out, ASU is a tough team and can win this game. USC is only a 3 point favorite on the road. I think ASU can beat this spread and upset the Trojans on the night where they will honor a real hero, Pat Tillman.

Football Saturday baby! That’s what I’m talkin bout! I look for ND to have a let down after destroying USC
last week. The stadium should have been warped in yellow tape, that was a crime scene.
Still The Irish are tough and will do enough to win.
And for those not interested in football, here’s a brand new Samantha Fish show from last weekend. The audio on this recording is much better than the usual. The guitar and vocals aren’t drowned out by the drums for once:
@ lobo91:
Nice.
CW’s alma mater with a nice outing.
The officiating crew for that game needs fired.
Saquon Barkley.
That’s what you get for wearing ugly unis.
Just woke up. Looks like a real track meet at the Shoe.
Note to all Sam fans: One week to the new album! Belle of the West comes out next Friday
PSU beats the spread and ND with a big win.
Good thing that there are so many tvs in the er.
😆
The money quote, “inmates running the prision” in regards to the NFL Texans.

Fook ‘em. If the Texan players feel they are imprisioned, then feel free to break it. No one is stopping you from breaking your NFL jail contract.
Hope your college education will get you through your next phase of life.
Signed,

Haven’t seen a NFL game this season, tuned into 3 opening day, switched channels before kickoff on all 3, haven’t bothered since….
@ Bordm:
I’m tired of this ginned up, racist, made up crap everywhere in the media.
I don’t see it in my mixed neighborhood, nor do I see it at work, with the public, in the Deep South.
@ Calo:
Yep, looks like a bunch of folks feel the same way and me either… Have you recovered from Harvey? Finally got the linoleum up at my parents house, only took 75-80 hours, a pneumatic scraper (that I had to go to Lake Charles to get), a Rube Goldberg setup of a couple air compressors with a 60 gallon air storage tank to get it done…..
@ Bordm:
Working on Harvey and the SBA.
The SBA is a strange govt agency. The store that got flooded and lost a lot was granted a small SBA loan, but the store that had a small roof leak, got a loan three times as much as the store that flooded.
So far, I’m haven’t signed any documents. I’m not sure I’m willing to ask the Feds for help.
@ Calo:
Are the stores all franchises?

The NYT had the Uranium One deal story and didn’t realize what they had. But they printed the evidence. Jan 2008
Late on Sept. 6, 2005, a private plane carrying the Canadian mining financier Frank Giustra touched down in Almaty, a ruggedly picturesque city in southeast Kazakhstan. Several hundred miles to the west a fortune awaited: highly coveted deposits of uranium that could fuel nuclear reactors around the world. And Mr. Giustra was in hot pursuit of an exclusive deal to tap them.
Unlike more established competitors, Mr. Giustra was a newcomer to uranium mining in Kazakhstan, a former Soviet republic. But what his fledgling company lacked in experience, it made up for in connections. Accompanying Mr. Giustra on his luxuriously appointed MD-87 jet that day was a former president of the United States, Bill Clinton.

Sounds like the carpet that’s in several areas of the prison (including my office, unfortunately). It’s been there since the place was built in 1989 (and looks like it), but it would be easier to demolish the building than to tear it out. They took the carpet out in the Mental Health offices a few months ago, and it took six people the better part of a week to do it. Apparently, every square inch of it is glued down to the concrete with some super adhesive.

@ coldwarrior:
The guy that built the house in 1958 was a craftsman, he used ash paneling, put in pocket doors, built in wrap around bar, etc… My folks bought it from him in 1968…. He didn’t scrimp on the glue, when he put the linoleum down, either… It was in the kitchen, dining room, utility room and hallways…. I ending up having to take it up, after the scumbag contractor from Riverside Ca. ripped my mom off for $11.5k, half-ass did the tear out, then demanded the other $11.5k, that he’ll never see…. Long story that’s not close to being over…. Once I finish getting the house ready for rebuild I’ll see what my options are, in regards to the fraud and getting some satisfaction from the bastards…
