HEY, WHERE IS EVERYBODY?: Republicans Pass Tax Reform, Everyone DEAD

Wednesday dawned to the horrifying cacophony of howling dogs mourning their dead masters — men, women and children killed in a mass slaughter by the Senate’s passage of a rather ordinary tax bill from the Republicans. Yes, the Republicans had been warned that their plan would cause a symphony of darkness to play across the land. They’d been warned that the streets would be strewn with bodies. Worse, they’d been warned that those dead people would then move to Chicago and vote Democratic.

But even Republicans, who are also dead, were shocked to find themselves inhabiting the bowels of Hell — in particular, inhabiting a special place therein reserved for women who did not vote for Hillary Clinton and voters who did not stand with Roy Moore.

And all of this thanks to President Trump, who had pitched the tax cut by stating that he merely wanted what was best in life: to crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women.

It is somewhat awkward writing this piece from the afterlife. It’s even more awkward writing this for a news site that exists on the internet — you remember, the internet, that thing that used to exist before Republicans repealed net neutrality, resulting in the annihilation of entire populations and the end of the internet itself.

And it’s supremely awkward to write it from underwater, given that President Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Paris Accords doomed huge cities to the realm of Aquaman.

What makes things even crazier is that everything is on fire despite being underwater, since Trump’s decision to move the American embassy to Jerusalem angered the Arab street so much.

By my count, I’ve died several dozen times since President Trump’s election, according to the warnings issued by media and Democrats. Yet I’ve never been able to rest in peace, because dead Republicans just keep on passing legislation that affects dead Americans and dead Democrats and dead media members keep resisting dead Donald Trump.

It turns out that the afterlife looks exactly like regular life.

Except, of course, that Justin Bieber hasn’t released any new songs in the Great Beyond. So that’s nice.

Well, the Gray household just got back inside after dancing buck nekkid in the street.

Among the other fantastic things in the bill – they got rid of/overhauled the estate tax for farmers. Most people aren’t aware but when the owner of a farm dies, the value of the land is included in the value of the estate. A farmer can have land valued at $2 mil and a fat 20 grand in the bank. The farm goes into foreclosure and because farming is not the kind of work most people grow up wanting to do, that farm many times goes to a developer of some kind and agricultural productivity is down again.

That’s going to be a lot harder to do.

Can someone explain this to me?

Hamas leader: We will no longer rule in Gaza

Hamas’s Gaza leader, Yahya Sinwar, declared on Wednesday that the terrorist organization would no longer control Gaza and that move will be permanent.

“This decision is a strategic one and there is no going back. Hamas will be completely out of the picture,” he said, according to comments quoted by the Hebrew-language Walla! news website.

Sinwar added that the split between Hamas and Fatah had harmed Hamas as a resistance movement, saying that it “harmed all of us as a people and as a liberation movement, so we must end the division at any price.”

In his remarks, Sinwar also addressed U.S. President Donald Trump’s statement that Washington recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and said that “Trump’s actions on Jerusalem require rapid steps to reconcile and end this tragic chapter in the history of the people.”

He added that “we are concerned about the possibility that reconciliation will fail and will continue for many years. The continuation of the current situation will have disastrous consequences, and therefore Hamas will not be part of the destruction. This declaration is a real opportunity to overcome the obstacles on the way to reconciliation.”

Hamas and Fatah signed a reconciliation agreement in October, as part of which Hamas was to transfer power in Gaza by December 1. That deadline was initially put back by 10 days and last week had reportedly hit “obstacles”.

Sharp disagreements remain between Fatah leader and Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas and Hamas, particularly over the fate of public employees in Gaza and security control of the enclave.

Abbas has demanded that the armed militias in Gaza disarm as part of the implementation of the agreement, but Hamas has categorically rejected this demand.

A man rammed a car into pedestrians and Christmas shoppers in a bustling area of Australia’s second-largest city on Thursday, injuring at least 18 other people in an act police said was deliberate.

Police in Melbourne said they arrested the 32-year-old male driver of a white four-wheel-drive Suzuki at the scene, along with another man. Four people were critically wounded, said Premier of Victoria state Daniel Andrews, and another 15 including the driver are in stable condition. Police said the incident was likely not terrorism.

The unnamed driver was alone in the car and is Australian of Afghan descent, with some history of assault, drug use and mental illness, Shane Patton, acting chief commissioner of the Victoria state police, said at an evening media briefing.

“He is under arrest for what we allege is a deliberate act,” Mr. Patton said, adding that the incident is being treated as an isolated event. “At this time we do not have any evidence for any intelligence to indicate there is a connection with terrorism.
However, we continue to support this investigation without counterterrorism command to ensure that there isn’t that connection and that there is no ongoing threat.”

(Grampa lent me the air rifle with a chuckle that included, “I’d pay money to see how you pull this off”.) Yes, Grandpa offered me $2.00 per rabbit. Her and Grandpa went round and round over that, and Grandpa looked like he took the worst of it.

All rabbits whether at his house or ours are on his “Must Die” list now. A quarter of an acre vegi garden and they devastated it despite his having a chicken wire electrified fence around it.

maybe not. More prey = more predator. That’s how we got the surplus coyotes. They stopped culling the deer. It was a mess for a whole year. Road kill all over the place, coyote in the yard all day, had to take my weapon just to walk the damn dog. Animal control told me there was a 60-animal pack 4 miles from my house. County supervisors finally wised up and got the professional hunters back in to cull the deer.
