‘Tis that time of year again, the 6 Nations Rugby tournament is ON! It is being carried, thankfully, by NBCSN. It is on a 2 hour delay so I have to avoid the Brit papers and not look at the scores. It is England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, France, and Italy. Yes, The Italians do play rugby.
Today at 1430 Eastern is Ireland at Scotland from fabled Murrayfield Stadium in Scotland. Ireland beat the New Zealand All Blacks earlier this year and are one of the best teams out there right now. Scotland manhandled Italy last week but won’t have that sort of luck today. Then at 1630 it is Wales at Italy from Stadio Olymipco i Rome. The Welsh should handle this no problem. Tomorrow its France at England from Twickenham. The English have a really good side this year as well.
So, if yinz get a chance, try to watch!
My drive back from the north last night was easily the worst conditions I’ve every driven in. Lake effect snow, 10 foot visibility, max speed 10mph.
It was amazing, I’ve been in some great lake effect snow before but nothing like this. I was in the snow band for a good 20 minutes while traveling directly south.
Thankfully, there were no other cars as it was 0100 …and middle of nowhere.

I drove whiteout conditions several times from Malmstrom down to Wyoming to go home. Never did get used to it. Driving by feel (pre-rumble strip), Never knowing if the lights coming from the other direction were in their lane or yours.

The more I read about “Dark Matter” or “Dark Energy” The less I believe in it. It seems to be something made up to make the observations fit the theory with no actual proof of it existing. They’ve been hunting for the elusive material for decades with no results.
