Even if she has the votes to pass, the optics of the only bi-partisan aspect of this atrocious vote being that some Democrats will vote AGAINST it and no Republicans will be voting FOR it won’t be good. Even when BJ was impeached, there were Democrats that voted for the articles.

I still favor the trial. For all of Schmucky’s “witness” posturing, the LAST thing the Democrats want is a trial in the Senate.

    @ eaglesoars:

Actually, I ended up at the local shopping mall Sunday since I didn’t have a football game to watch (Saints played Monday) and didn’t want to hear Football Savant Offspring scream at the TV as Oakland went down in flames in their final game at the Coliseum.

Was shocked that there was a lot of parking available. At my office, the Amazon guy and the other delivery guys are making two three trips a day to the Mailroom. I stopped counting when I reached 20 Amazon boxes by the freight elevator by NOON on one day. I’m with you – I LOVE being able to get everything by internet and delivered to my house. The more expensive items I have delivered to the office where they can be signed for.

The other good thing – I was done in 1 hour and 45 minutes. For 10 people in 3 states. No trip to the post office either. Considering what my hourly rate was when I was last in corporate, back before God started making dirt, shopping, wrapping, mailing – that’s some $$$.

Margo Sullivan just GUTS Sullivan’s opinion in the Flynn Case

That Judge Sullivan took no umbrage to the government’s blunder, when the normal reaction would be of outrage and concern that federal prosecutors had botched other important aspects of the case, means he didn’t care. He had made up his mind. The case was done. All that was left was to recite the pieces of evidence Powell sought and a reason it need not be produced.

and that’s not the worst of it

Hopefully the 4th Circuit will set things right. It’ll depend on the panel. What frosts me the most is that this is a pattern of behavior in matters spearheaded by Weissman. Egregious violations of a defendant’s rights. The man should have lost his law license years ago.

Which is why I hope Rosenweasel gets his ass kicked somehow in all of this. There was no reason to cave to the MINORITY party’s demand for a Special Counsel, and his appointment of Mueller was really outside the regs – he was Comey’s friend and had just made a plea to get his old job back.

Also, a Special Counsel is appointed because the DOJ itself is considered compromised for an investigation. So what does Mueller do? Puts dozens of DOJ and FBI employees on the team. So if DOJ could work on the investigation, there was no need for the special counsel to spearhead it. I would not be surprised to learn that this was the plan fomented by Comey, Rosenweasel and Mueller from jump street.

Don’t know if you’ve read Lee Smith’s book. He said Rosenweasel had NO CLUE what the Woods procedure is. Kash Patel, who was on Nunes’ staff at the time (now at the WH) – had to educate him.

I find it interesting that support for impeachment has fallen below 50% – even though the GOP witnesses were barred from testifying, the GOP committee members had their questions thrown out by No-Nads and Shiffty, and the MSM has gone non-stop on the issue.

Unfortunately for the Democrats, the GOP House Managers will now be able to put their witnesses on for the Senate. That’s what Schmucky is MOST afraid of.

Is Graham out of his damn mind? NO GOP witnesses were permitted at the House level – NONE. All witnesses were against the President and based solely in hearsay. That damn weaselblower needs to be dragged in front of the damn Senate and told to explain his complaint about the telephone call – which apparently was nothing but a fairy tale.

Not to make the individual whose BS prompted this whole process explain himself is the worst miscarriage of justice and deprivation of the right to face and question your accusers. What the hell is Graham afraid of? Biden needs to be called to account.

I assume it would be an appeal. I just skimmed the opinion but Margo Cleveland pretty much confirmed my impression – the logic was inverted and the whole plagiarism thing was factually incorrect. Why Sullivan even included it in his opinion, as it’s not germane to the case, is bewildering.

    Oh, this is delicious

Fake news report costs Bloomberg $7.6m in fines

PARIS (AFP) – France’s financial markets watchdog on Monday (Dec 16) hit Bloomberg with a five million euro (S$7.6 million) fine for a report based on a fake news release that triggered a plunge in the shares of French construction giant Vinci and wiped billions off its market value.

Vinci’s shares tumbled by nearly a fifth on November 22, 2016, after several media issued reports based on what purported to be a press release from Vinci.

The statement said Vinci had sacked its chief financial officer and was restating its accounts for 2015 and the first half of 2016 after the discovery of accounting errors amounting to several billion euros.

The financial markets watchdog AMF said Bloomberg distributed “information that it should have known was false”.

The AMF said Bloomberg did not respect journalistic ethics “as no verification of the information was undertaken before publication.”

Mark Levin just showed up on twitter. I’ll copy a bit of his stuff here
    https://twitter.com/marklevinshow/status/1207645541749940224

    1. Nancy Pelosi was apparently advised by leftwing Harvard law professor Lawrence Tribe to delay sending the impeachment to the Senate. So she’s unilaterally sitting on the impeachment. This is another brazen unconstitutional act.

    2. Here’s what Mitch McConnell and the Senate Republicans must do in response: The Senate has the sole power under the Constitution to adjudicate an impeachment. Therefore, Pelosi is attempting to obstruct the Senate’s power to act on its constitutional authority.

    3. McConnell should immediately put an end to this and declare the impeachment null and void as the speaker has failed to complete the impeachment process by timely sending it to the Senate for adjudication.

    4. McConnell has no less authority to unilaterally make such a decision than Pelosi does to withhold the administrative notification of an impeachment to the Senate either indefinitely or w/ conditions. Her effort to cripple the presidency & blackmail the Senate must be defeated.

McConnell is speaking. I don’t know what he’s going to decide – if anything – but he’s not a happy camper. I will say the concerns I had about him protecting his wife’s family at the expense of Trump are assuaged. I think now he’ll protect the institution of the Senate first. And that means fucking over Nancy Pelosi.

This is true. I’ve seen a lot of chatter on Twitter from people that said they did not vote for Trump in 2016 because they were really not sure if he was the “real deal” or that they were fearful he was going to be more liberal than he proclaimed. Now that they have a marker for him, they are definitely voting for him in 2020. Also, we in RED California are being encouraged to be sure to vote FOR him in 2020, even though the state is probably not in play, because apparently the popular vote is the only one that counts with libs and we need to get the numbers up.

    @ eaglesoars:

Ballot harvesting needs to be challenged in the courts. It is, essentially a Democrat gateway to overturn elections. It is more than coincidence that seven heavily targeted seats in traditionally conservative districts were initially won by Republicans and then, days later, harvested ballots gave the seat to the Democrats. I guess they went to that “we found these boxes of ballots in the trunk” well a little too often so they needed to codify their ability to steal elections.

The fact that ALL targeted districts had their initial results overturned is highly suspicious. Especially Orange County.

It’s easy to know how many ballots you need to turn an election once the votes are tallied.

The global pig population is being absolutely decimated by a disease that does not have a cure. African Swine Fever, also commonly referred to as “Pig Ebola”, is raging out of control in dozens of countries all over the globe. It has a mortality rate of close to 100 percent, and once it hits an area even the pigs that are able to survive the disease are killed off in order to prevent it from spreading elsewhere. Unfortunately, African Swine Fever just continues to pop up in more locations. As you will see below, it is now sweeping through the heavily-populated nation of Indonesia.

“Pig Ebola” Is Now Running Wild In Indonesia, And Has Already Killed A Quarter Of The World’s Swine

I have an idea for Trump’s State of the Union. He could turn it into a campaign ad

Take every state, one by one, and do a video with him green-screened in talking about how he’s made the state better or how the Dems have ruined it.

It could be a 60-minute commercial.

The libs would go bat guano.

I saw that. Apparently this moron believes that somehow the SENATE is going to remove Trump and then Pence. Which then makes Pelosi President.

Uh. No. Even if Trump were removed, at that moment Pence does become President. He is allowed to select a VP right away, to be confirmed by the Senate. That VP would become President if Pence was removed.

I think Schiffty is really SO delusional at times that he really believes he was going to make Nancy Pelosi President and that she would appoint him her VP. I mean, all you need to see is that fairy tale synopsis of the Ukraine call to realize the man is NOT rooted in reality.

Anybody else think it strange that Christianity Today, the mag founded by Billy Graham, would call for Trump’s removal?

Check this out. They’ve been calling for an immigration reform plan that goes right back to – GUESS WHO??!!

    Soros.

On November 9, Stetzer and Christianity Today published Matthew Soerens of World Relief promoting the reform plan. Soerens is the US director of church mobilization for World Relief.

World Relief is heavily involved in earning revenue from its involvement in working with refugees. According to research published in Michelle Malkin’s new book, Open Borders Inc.: Who’s Funding America’s Destruction? from Regnery Publishing, World Relief received at least $215.3 million (65 percent of its total funding) from government funding for refugee resettlement.

As we’ve reported many times, the Evangelical Immigration Table led by Russell Moore of the Southern Baptist Convention was founded by the National Immigration Forum, a group funded by George Soros to promote the free movement of peoples, another way of saying open borders. Russell Moore appeared at the National Immigration Forum meeting with former president Barack Obama’s Faith Advisor last week.

Why are so many in Big Evangelicalism promoting Soros backed Immigration plans?

This is an interesting interview with Chad Underwood, the Navy pilot who shot the ‘tic tac’ UFO video.

The thing that stood out to me the most was how erratic it was behaving. And what I mean by “erratic” is that its changes in altitude, air speed, and aspect were just unlike things that I’ve ever encountered before flying against other air targets. It was just behaving in ways that aren’t physically normal. That’s what caught my eye. Because, aircraft, whether they’re manned or unmanned, still have to obey the laws of physics. They have to have some source of lift, some source of propulsion. The Tic Tac was not doing that. It was going from like 50,000 feet to, you know, a hundred feet in like seconds, which is not possible.

    from the comments:

I can tell you what it will be……………………….it will be the “Highly Secretive” = TR-3B Aircraft, or indeed a ‘variant’ of it! The “TR-3B” doesn’t exist officially. It is part of an “Ultra-Secret” Govt Black Ops programme.

It uses highly pressured mercury accelerated by nuclear energy to produce a plasma that creates a field of anti-gravity around the ship. The TR-3B can perform all manner of rapid high speed maneuvers along all three axes. Interestingly, the plasma generated also reduces radar signature significantly. So it’ll be almost invisible on radar & remain undetected

Had visitors down at the beach for the past 2 days. An Aussie flew in from North of Sydney and was joined by a Mexican girlfriend who flew in from Seattle. Both soft lefties. Not very extreme and of the we need to protect the idiots from themselves variety. WE took them on a whistle stop tour of the Coromandel coast with a trip on unsealed roads to see a magnificant square 1500 ye old Kauri tree.

Eagles would be interested.. Indeed British man-o-wars did have hearts of Oak for their hulls but their spars were built of more ‘bendy’ wood such as Kauri from NZ.

WE then took then chainsawing a year’s supply offer dry logs off a farm nearby that belongs to a mate who is a Professor (Kiwi) at Hong Kong University. He and his Chinese wife are back on his farm for Christmas. He’s pretty left wing due to his university teaching credentials depending on the Administration in Hong Kong. His Chinese wife was a screaming out of control communist however. Somehow during a tank you fo the wood ‘dinner’ last night she triggered and suddenly got all foam speckled spit and had a 10 minute rant about the evil students of HK opposing our wonderful leader President Xi.

Actually I have NEVER seen someone so out of control politically. She ACTUALLY has foam specked spit coming from her mouth. Even the mild ‘liberals’ looked a little perplexed and embarrassed. I just kept my mouth shut or there may have been need to restrain her and to a much lesser extent her husband the Prof.

Thankfully we finally distracted her enough to change the subject and her eyes settled back into her sockets and the foaming stopped. It was really educational to see someone totally lose it to the point of physical and mental incoherence. Dessert was served and the home made Christmas cake seemed to work its magic.

The Aussie and Mexican departed at 03;45 AM to drive north into Northland to visit Tutukaka and from their by boat to dive the Poor Knights islands this morning 17Km off the Northland coast. One of the Top 10 dive sites in the world.

A beautiful morning here in ‘God’s Own’

I was chatting to her a few days beforehand while we awaited the arrival of the Prof. on his tractor at their farm. I purposely didn’t make any direct comment about HK and just asked her questions about how she saw things developing. Even THAT triggered her to a couple of mini- eye bulging rants about various subjects regarding the KH students.

It was quite an eye opener. I couldn’t help myself finally and mentioned organ harvesting, and the Weagers (islamic Turkic peoples) of Western China. The response was CCP boilerplate and you could feel the ‘rant level kick up a notch.

The people of the Faroe Islands are a bit peeved, they -understandably – don’t like being told what to do. Especially since Huawei installed their current 4G system and there don’t seem to be any problems. And China buys a lot of their salmon, which is the only thing they produce. Well, it’s war they want, it’s war they’ll have.

Virginia Attorney General Shoots Down Gun Sanctuary Laws

In a rebuke to nearly 100 cities and counties, Virginia’s Democratic attorney general said in an advisory opinion Friday that local pro-Second Amendment laws declaring an exemption from statewide gun safety measures are invalid.
    .
    .
Herring’s advisory opinion cited Dillon’s rule, a legal principle prohibiting local authorities from establishing powers not expressly granted by the Legislature, in finding that the local laws are invalid.

“It is my opinion that these resolutions have no legal effect,” the opinion states. “It is further my opinion that localities and local constitutional officers cannot nullify state laws and must comply with gun violence prevention measures that the General Assembly may enact.”

I agree. She really REALLY does need to go back to China. Actually she is heading back to Hong Kong in a few days with her Professor husband.

He was a rather flawed OK guy back in the day. A former NZ Special Forces officer (reservist)with a double doctorate (biology and botany) and a Prof at HK University. Done some heroic stuff in Malaysia training Malay Special Forces and has ‘weathered’ a Trans Antarctic posting too.He was tutor to the Crown Prince of Brunei for 2 years and is on first name terms with the Crown Princess of Tailand (who did her doctorate with him the same time he was qualifying for his second doctorate). He’s a top 5 expert on salt water botanical systems with mangroves as his speciality. On LOTS of UN sponsored research tasks in Asia on marine eco-systems.

He has however got ‘wandering hands’ when it comes to females, and gaslights female students (nurses) at the university. Nothing blatant but something is just not ‘right’ which gives you the creeps. He has a MASSIVE ego and that makes him an immediate security risk! His wife is just a nutty as squirrel shit communist cipher. He wrote a diatribe a few months back dissing the student revolution in HK and the rise of the opposition to the CCP. I tok the occasion to ‘deconstruct’ his paper in a way that I lifted straight from the pages of Rules for Radicals. Who says that you can’t use the enemies tactics against them?
