Republican party viewed out of touch

The majority of Americans view the Republican Party as out of touch with Americans. This does not shock me at all. Today’s GOP is a just a straw-man operation that serves as the Democrat Party’s boogeyman. Rather than offer real solution’s, today’s GOP comes across as bunch of angry scolds

GOP not liked

I agree with the findings of this poll. Even though I am politically on the Right, I no longer feel any connection with the GOP. They use nasty rhetoric and pick the wrong fights.

A case in point is the Florida GOP preventing destination resorts casinos from establishing in the state. The Florida GOP also has banned Internet Cafes that allowed gambling.

Up to 1,000 strip-mall parlors where people can play slot-like computer games became illegal Wednesday in Florida, with the governor signing a ban on the heels of a federal investigation into a charity that authorities say was an illegal gambling front.

The law took effect immediately after Gov. Rick Scott signed it, roughly a month after nearly 60 people were arrested in connection with the racketeering investigation into Allied Veterans of the World. The arrests prompted the resignation of former Lt. Gov. Jennifer Carroll, who did consulting work for the group but has not been accused of wrongdoing.

The Legislature and governor acted with dizzying speed, leaving many questions as to the law’s impact and how the centers known as Internet cafes would react. The ban is also expected to directly affect adult amusement arcades that cater to senior citizens.

Four employees were told not to show up for work Wednesday, and bingo manager Kenia Landa said she was worried she may lose her job.

“I feel so sorry, including me, because I don’t know what is going to happen,” she said. “The only support I have is this job.”

The GOP preaches it is the Party of limited government, individual liberty and free markets. In reality both the Republican Party and Democrat Party are supporters Big Government that intrudes on people’s economic and individual freedoms. This is why most Americans despise the Republican Party. They preach freedom, but in reality are no different than the Democrats.

Most American support Obama’s position on the debt ceiling

Thanks to the support of the Media-Entertainment Industrial complex, most Americans agree with Obama on raising the debt ceiling.

President Obama heads into his second term with political momentum on his side, and leads congressional Republicans when it comes to dealing with the country’s debt limit according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.

More Americans now approve of the way Obama is doing his job than at any point in the past three years, except for a fleeting spike upward after the killing of Osama bin Laden. The number seeing him as a “strong leader” is sharply higher, and a clear majority again sees him as empathetic with the problems they face.

[….]

Nearly half of Republicans also take the president’s side when it comes to one important aspect of the intense debate over the nation’s debt limit: that the issue of raising the borrowing limit should be separate from the identification of spending cuts.

Republican leaders in Congress have drawn a hard line that such cuts are essential to any legislative deal to raise the debt ceiling. Republicans in the poll, however, are divided on the issue: 48 percent say any increase in the debt limit should be tied to cuts, while nearly as many, 45 percent, say that the two issues should be isolated, discrete issues.

The general public sides with Obama on this question: 58 percent say cuts should be a separate matter, and 36 percent say they should be knotted with the borrowing limit. Obama also has the trust edge here: 49 percent say they have more confidence in him to handle the issue, compared with 35 percent who put more faith in the GOP.

If the GOP can’t even convince Americans that raising the debt ceiling without cuts is irresponsible, there is no point in them existing as a party.. The US is now a 3rd world style Fascist style one party dictatorship.

ABC News/Washington Post poll with +9 D sample has Obama and Romney tied

The media and the entertainment industry is doing everything in their power to prop up their pop icon Obama. This is keeping him in the game, despite a bad economy. A recent Washington Post/ABC News Poll is an example of this. The poll has Obama and Romney tied at 47%. The kicker is that the survey has a +9 Democrat over sample!

A pair of tepid jobs reports, landmark Supreme Court decisions on health-care and immigration laws, and an unprecedented barrage of negative ads have shaped the opening months of the fall presidential campaign. The impact on the horse race: virtually none.

According to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll, President Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney remain in a deadlocked contest, tied at 47 percent among registered voters and basically where they stood in late May.

The media is really trying to prop this guy up.
