This state of the art rec room bar drips with pure inexpensive awesome, and that’s just the barfly in the hotpants. The rest of the set up could be had for about $150 in 1966 dollars (adjusted for inflation) and that includes stocking it with a fifth of Bacardi’s and a six pack of Coca-cola.

That’s my fantasy, to run a small place out in the sticks with a jukebox, a foosball table, and a loyal clientele of regulars. Live open mike Friday and Saturday nights in the corner beneath the shelf that holds a black and white Motorola; with a couple of tables for checkers or poker, and a small grille for eggs and sausage, biscuits and gravy. And a dog or two. Open 3PM to 10PM, so I have just enough time to clean up the place and still be here for an Overnight Open Thread.
