The Man Who Almost Unilaterally Destroyed Our Economy Speaks!

Via the Daily Caller.

Just for a moment, take yourselves back to the ancient date of 2003. In that year, a time that only the adult memories in the room can remember, Barney Frank, when confronted with the specter of the oncoming crisis being caused by Fannie and Freddie made the following statement.

Frank’s bit comes at 1:40 of the clip.

For those of you who wish to pretend that history should never be looked at, or facts older than two weeks should be given their Obama expiration date, consider this. Barney’s signature achievement as a Congress Critter, the still existing Dodd Frank nightmare, completely exempts Fannie and Freddie from its encumbering regulatory authority. If Barney as he says recognizes the problem, and claims that he is the answer and not the cause, then why would the problem be not only unaddressed, but encouraged to expand?

Don’t worry about losing Barney though, because the Democrats have ample replacements for his outstanding ability to destroy, waiting in the wings of their party. I give you Maxine Waters and Gregory Meeks.

Barney, Maxine, Sanfran Nan, Gregory, and every other skull full of mush which happens to be connected to a morally bankrupt individual, that gets themselves elected to our nation’s leadership, is able to do so because we in this country have accepted a disastrously dangerous premise. That premise is that it is our government’s job to make our lives more comfortable and to shield us from the pain of the mistakes we make. In a free market system, both profit and loss are important. Loss is perhaps more important than profit. It sends us important signals to change behaviors which will ultimately lead to disaster. Barney Frank stands as the single best lesson in our history of what the ultimate price for ignoring that fact causes. He has announced that he will not seek reelection in 2012. His career has been, to say the least, something to behold. If you thought that it would never be possible for a Congress Critter to top getting caught running a whore house out of his home which catered to homosexual pedophiles, well guess again. Barney brought the world’s economy to its knees, and he did it while claiming the moral high ground of watching out for the poor. That’s some trick. Good riddance Barney, please stay gone.

Барни Франк Back In the News

It is a good thing that Барни Франк is no longer Chair of the House Banking Committee. Unfortunately, it does not mean he will not “get involved” in certain appointments. In this case, he’s advocating the nomination of Marty Gruenberg to head the FDIC:

“I think it’th likely to be Mawty Gwuenbewg, and that will be good,” Frank said in an interview on Thursday. “It’th jutht the logical thing to do. He’th got a lot of expewience, it would be gweat continuity. And fwom the thtandpoint of confiwmation, he wath on the committee and I think he would have the betht thhot at it.”

Remember, Франк is the co-author of the banking reregulation law passed last year. It is only a matter of time until Президент Обама will use that law to break up the nationwide banks…and Gruenberg would be the perfect tool to ram it down the throats of the American People.
And that…would make Барни Франк overjoyed, to say the least.
