Obama Regime pressuring Syrian Opposition to meet with Assad

Talk about hypocrisy. The Obama Regime which launched a war against Qaddafi in the name of Democracy has a double standard on Syria. Rather than back the Syrian opposition against the Assad regime, the US is pressuring the Syrian opposition to meet with Assad. That’s right, we will bomb Qaddafi, but not Assad who has American blood on his hands.

The US is pushing the Syrian opposition to maintain dialogue with Bashar al-Assad’s regime as details emerge of a controversial “roadmap” for reforms that would leave him in power for now despite demands for his overthrow during the country’s bloody three-month uprising.

Syrian opposition sources say US state department officials have been discreetly encouraging discussion of the unpublished draft document, which is currently in circulation. But Washington flatly denies backing it, and organisers of an unprecedented opposition conference held on Monday in Damascus say it was not discussed there.

Assad would oversee what the roadmap calls “a secure and peaceful transition to civil democracy”. It calls for tighter control over the security forces, the disbanding of “shabiha” gangs accused of atrocities, the legal right to peaceful demonstrations, extensive media freedoms, and the appointment of a transitional assembly.

The carefully phrased 3,000-word document demands a “clear and frank apology” and accountability for organisations and individuals who “failed to accommodate legitimate protests”, and compensation for the families of victims. The opposition says 1,400 people have been killed since mid-March. The government says 500 members of the security forces have died.

Why is The Assad regime different than Qaddafi? Well he is enemies with Israel and oppresses Lebanese Christians. The State Department has a soft spot for this thug. This is a double standard. The Obama Regime loves to coddle our enemies.

Hizb’Allah may start a War with Israel to help Assad

The Arabic Occupation Army of Lebanon, Hizb’allah, has supported the recent “popular uprisings” in the middle east. They backed the Muslim Brotherhood led protests in Egypt and sent fighters into Libya. Well when it comes to Bashar Assad’s regime, they are on the opposite side.

Syrians opposition leaders have reported that members of Hizb’allah have assisted the Assad regime. Their excuse is that Assad is fighting Israel, so they stand by him. This has made them look like hypocrites to many. To make up for this hypocrisy and help Assad, they might start a war with Israel. A war would get the world’s attention off Assad and onto Israel. Even if Hizb’allah starts it, Israel will be demonized. Hizb’allah knows to play the Western media and are preparing for a showdown.

BEIRUT – Lebanon’s Hezbollah militant group is preparing for a possible war with Israel to relieve perceived Western pressure to topple Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, its guardian ally, sources close to the movement say.

The radical Shi’ite group, which has a powerful militia armed by Damascus and Iran, is watching the unrest in neighboring Syria with alarm and is determined to prevent the West from exploiting popular protests to bring down Assad.

Hezbollah supported pro-democracy movements that toppled Western-backed leaders in Tunisia and Egypt, but officials say it will not stand idly by as international pressure mounts on Assad to yield to protesters.

It is committed to do whatever it takes politically to help deflect what it sees as a foreign campaign against Damascus, but it is also readying for a possible war with Israel if Assad is weakened.

If Hizb’allah wants to gamble on a war with Israel at a time the Syrian regime has internal troubles, well go ahead. They will have no resupply routes or places to store their weapons. The Israel of 2011 is not the one of 2006. The IDF has prepared for conflict with Hizb’allah and has better intelligence. The only part of their reasoning that is correct is that the Western Media would forget Syria’s trouble and condemn Israel. The Obama Regime may also pressure Israel to not go all out.

If Hizb’allah starts a conflict to help Syria it will be a huge miscalculation.

Another act of Islamic Arab agression against Israel

Today marks the anniversary of Israel’s victory in the 6 Day war. Realizing they can’t defeat Israel militarily, they are using a new tactic. The Islamists are using unarmed human protestors to harass Israel’s borders. This tactic is being done to force Israel to use violent force and make them look bad.

MAJDAL SHAMS, Golan Heights – Israeli troops on Sunday battled hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters who tried to burst across Syria’s frontier with the Golan Heights, killing a reported 20 people and wounding scores more in the second outbreak of deadly violence in the border area in less than a month.

The clashes, marking the anniversary of the Arab defeat in the 1967 Mideast war, drew Israeli accusations that Syria was orchestrating the violence to shift attention away from a bloody crackdown on opposition protests at home. The marchers, who had organized on Facebook, passed by Syrian and U.N. outposts on their way to the front lines.

“The Syrian government is trying to created a provocation,” said Israel’s chief military spokesman, Brig. Gen. Yoav Mordechai. “This border has been quiet for decades, but only now with all the unrest in Syrian towns is there an attempt to draw attention to the border.”

The Assad regime is in trouble in Syria. They are trying to distract from these troubles by instigating incidenst with Israel. Plus they are trying to get sympathy from the world by making Israel look bad.

These people are sick.

Syrian protests reach Damascus

Despite the crackdown in Syria through the use of Iranian Revolutionary Guards and Hizb’Allah, the Syrians continue to protest. Lead by Sunni Imams, the protests began in mass after Friday prayers. The Alawite regime of Bashar Assad is being challenged like never before in it’s history. However, the opposition are not people to be admired. It is the Muslim Brotherhood who is leading the charge against the Assad regime. They want payback for the 20,000 kiled at Homs in 1982. They smell blood and are mobilizing for a showdown.

(Reuters) – Protests against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad swept into the capital Damascus on Friday for the first time since a growing wave of pro-democracy unrest began to put pressure on his 11-year rule.

Thousands of protesters marched elsewhere across the country despite a fierce crackdown and some political concessions announced by Assad in an attempt to quell spreading unrest.

Shouting “God, Syria, Freedom,” protesters repeated the same demand for democratic reform and freedoms across many cities.

Assad’s use of force, mass arrests and accusations that armed groups have instigated the unrest, mixed with promises for reform and concessions to minority groups and conservative Muslims, have not placated protesters inspired by popular uprisings which toppled the leaders in Tunisia and Egypt.

The Popular Uprising has hit Syria and I feel no remorse. Bashar Assad allowed AL-Qaeda to use Syria as a staging ground to attack American troops in Iraq. The presence of these Jihadists clearly has radicalized the Syrian Sunnis. Now Assad is getting burned by the fire he started.
