There is a legitimate reason for that warning, and it has nothing to do with noise, but a lot to do with harmonics. Dissonance rarely causes trouble, but harmonics can bring down massive structures. Today we saw a mix of both on the internest, and I don’t think that’s a bad thing.
The obvious lesson here is “Never Applaud With Your Feet.” Reinterpret that as much as you want to on The Overnight Open Thread.

Yeah, the original was lame, but it was clever back in the day. It was updated a few years ago to pure awesome.
