Israel open to Russian Peacekeepers on the Golan

Russia offered to have peacekeeper in the Golan after al-Nusra Front fighters kidnapped some UN peacekeepers. Israel is open to the idea of a Russian presences on the Golan.

MOSCOW, July 9 (RIA Novosti) – Israel is ready to discuss the possible deployment of Russian peacekeepers to the disputed Golan Heights region between Syria and Israel, the Israeli ambassador to Russia said Tuesday.

“I think that this issue will be discussed and, if the sides manage to come to an agreement, this [a Russian peacekeeping mission in the Golan Heights] is possible. Permission from the United Nations is required. And Israel is always open to solutions for such issues,” Ambassador Dorit Golender said.

The UN-monitored buffer zone in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights was set up to separate Israeli and Syrian forces after the Arab-Israeli war of 1973. Although it is de-jure on Syrian territory, it has been occupied and annexed by Israel since the war. Ownership of the strategically important Golan Heights remains one of the main points of contention between the two nations.

Al-Nusra would be stupid to go after Russian peacekeepers. They should ask their Hezbollah enemies what the Russians did to them in the 1980’s when they kidnapped some Russians.

Assad vows to give Hizb’Allah more advanced weapons

When you are in a hole, the best move is to stop digging. Bashar Assad obviously doesn’t not heed that advise and continues to dig a deeper hole. Despite warnings from Israel that they will not tolerate any shipments of advanced weapons to Hizb’Allah, Assad says he will do just that. He even claims that Syria will now be a “resistance” nation.

Israel’s alleged attack against Syria seems to have led President Bashar Assad to hunker down and more fully align his regime with the Iran-Hezbollah axis. As he fights for his regime’s survival, holding on to what some analysts say could become an Alawite ministate, he is publicly moving to a more hostile position vis-à-vis Israel and the West.

Assad told a local Lebanese paper that Syria was becoming a resistance state similar to the one Hezbollah has created in Lebanon.

We have decided that we must advance toward them and turn into a resistance nation like Hezbollah [did in Lebanon], for the sake of Syria and future generations,” Assad told the Al-Akhbar daily on Thursday, according to the Lebanese Daily Star.

He added that Syria would be cooperating more closely with Hezbollah, stating, “That’s why we have decided to give them everything.”

Assad can barely resist al-Qaeda’s Syrian branch al-Nusra Front, how the hell will he resist Israel.

Another clown is Hizb’Allah chief Hassan Nasrallah, who claims that his organization will help Assad take back the Golan Heights from Israel.

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah said on Thursday his forces would support any Syrian effort to recapture the Israeli Golan Heights, days after Israel reportedly launched raids in Syria believed to have targeted weapons destined for the Lebanese militant group.

“We announce that we stand with the Syrian popular resistance and offer material and spiritual support as well as coordination in order to liberate the Syrian Golan,” he said in a televised speech.

Hizb’Allah’s forces can’t even defeat al-Qaeda, how will they help Assad take the Golan Heights? Assad and Nasrallah really are smoking some strong hash. They are both upset that that they can’t retaliate for Israel’s strike on Syria against Hizb’Allah weapons. Al-Nusra is giving them the fight of their lives and if they even think of starting a fight with Israel, it will not end well for Nasrallah and Assad.

Israel warns that Jihadists could target them after Assad

Nusratrains

John McCain and his gang are once again openly calling to arm the Islamist rebels. Carl Levin with the backing of McCain’s side kick, Miss Lindsey Graham is calling for setting up a no fly zone to help the Syrian rebels. The anti-Assad forces are led by al-Nusra Front, which is the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda. The allegedly moderate Free Syrian Army is led by the Muslim Brotherhood and relies extensively on al-Nusra for offensive operations against Assad’s forces or Hizb’Allah. These are McCain’s friends.

The Israelis are very worried about what is going on in Syria. They shed no tears for Assad, but worry about an al-Qaeda or Muslim Brotherhood Regime on their northern border. Already, al-Qaeda has deployed fighters to the Syrian portion of the Golan Heights. Israelis are now warning, that the Syrian Jihadists might target them after they are done with Assad and Hizb’Allah.

Haifa, Israel – If jihadi groups fighting to topple Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad succeed, “[i]t’s us afterwards,” warned Israeli Defense Force (IDF) Chief of Staff Lt. General Benny Gantz during a conference last week. “We could be the next challenge for the same organizations.”

The Golan Heights, the border between Syria and Israel, has become increasingly unstable as the Assad regime loses its grip on power and radical Islamist and al-Qaida-inspired elements of the Free Syrian Army – reportedly backed directly or indirectly by the likes of Qatar and Saudi Arabia – move into the void.

The situation in Syria is “liquid, unstable and dangerous,” Gantz said in remarks at the 13th Herzilya Conference on Israeli security. If Assad falls, Syria’s massive arsenal of weapons could fall into the wrong hands. Those jihadi groups would feel tempted to target Israel. As if to reinforce Gantz’s point, Reuters reported last Thursday that 1,000 insurgents have moved into Khan Sheikh, just 15 miles from the Golan, after killing 30 soldiers in a battle for a Syrian government missile squadron south of Damascus.

“The terror organizations are gaining footholds in the territory,” Gantz said.

The Israelis are not taking this situation lightly. Al-Qaeda might begin raids against Israeli positions on the Golan to score propaganda points. They are already filming Israeli troop movements and bragging about “liberating” the Golan in the name of Islam (not Syria).

If Israel should ever get into a war with al-Nusra, they better fight with the gloves off and with without mercy.

John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Carl Levin and others are openly calling to helping Israel’s enemies. How these Senators claim to support Israel is beyond me.

The United States should not be backing an organization that attacked us on 9/11 and killed 3,000 American soldiers in Iraq. It is a disgrace to Americans who lost their lives and their families to support al-Qaeda in Syria.

Another act of Islamic Arab agression against Israel

Today marks the anniversary of Israel’s victory in the 6 Day war. Realizing they can’t defeat Israel militarily, they are using a new tactic. The Islamists are using unarmed human protestors to harass Israel’s borders. This tactic is being done to force Israel to use violent force and make them look bad.

MAJDAL SHAMS, Golan Heights – Israeli troops on Sunday battled hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters who tried to burst across Syria’s frontier with the Golan Heights, killing a reported 20 people and wounding scores more in the second outbreak of deadly violence in the border area in less than a month.

The clashes, marking the anniversary of the Arab defeat in the 1967 Mideast war, drew Israeli accusations that Syria was orchestrating the violence to shift attention away from a bloody crackdown on opposition protests at home. The marchers, who had organized on Facebook, passed by Syrian and U.N. outposts on their way to the front lines.

“The Syrian government is trying to created a provocation,” said Israel’s chief military spokesman, Brig. Gen. Yoav Mordechai. “This border has been quiet for decades, but only now with all the unrest in Syrian towns is there an attempt to draw attention to the border.”

The Assad regime is in trouble in Syria. They are trying to distract from these troubles by instigating incidenst with Israel. Plus they are trying to get sympathy from the world by making Israel look bad.

These people are sick.
