President Obama Greets Hugo ChavezJust two days after President Barack Hussein Obama shared a cordial handshake with Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez at the Summit of the Americas, the Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center has released a study analyzing the flowering alliance between the increasingly anti-Western Latin America and the virulently anti-Israel Iran.

According to the study, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is using anti-Western Hugo Chavez as a springboard into several Latin American countries, such as Bolivia, Nicaragua, and Ecuador, where he intends to establish a religious, terrorist, political and economic foothold in South America.  Iran has already made major inroads in its relationship with Venezuela and Bolivia, largely based on shared anti-American sentiments.

Iran will utilize this developing relationship to challenge the United States, parts of Asia, and Africa, said the study.

The Islamic Republic will also leverage petrodollars and Muslim operatives positioned throughout key Latin American countries to implement a radical anti-Western agenda, fight America’s anti-nuclear policy, and to slash international economic sanctions according to the IICC.

In addition, the report warns that Iran may launch anti-American and anti-Israel terror attacks through intelligence and terror networks in South American countries.

Ahmadinejad, who hosted a “World Without Zionism” conference in 2005, promoting his goal to “wipe Israel off the map”, has already succeeded in wounding Israeli diplomatic relations in the region, with Israel’s diplomatic core being forced out of Chavez’s Venezuela and Bolivia during the anti-terror Operation Cast Lead in January 2009.

Khomeini-inspired Shi’ite Islamic and Iranian revolutionary propaganda is being exported by Iran into non-Muslim and Muslim communities in Latin America, in large part through its terror proxy, Hizbullah, which is raising funds for operation by uniting with South American drug and crime cartels.

The IICC report cites several U.S. intelligence and military officials expressing concern over rising Iranian activity in Latin America, and increasing numbers of converts in the region to Islam.

Latin Leaders Bash America While Obama Just Sits There

Obama is a fool. Various leaders of Latin America bashed the US, he sat there and said nothing.

Obama Gets History Lesson From Latin American

April 18 (Bloomberg) — Latin American leaders railed against the U.S. during President Barack Obama’s first trip to the region, turning what was intended to mark a new direction in relations into a history lesson that chastised “Yankee troop” interventions and U.S.-dictated economic policies.

Obama arrived at the Fifth Summit of the Americas in Trinidad and Tobago yesterday promising to “listen and learn” from regional leaders. He got an earful.

Obama is a sucker and it is plain for all the world to see.

Mexico may Collapse.

I really hope this doesn’t happen. It might with the power the Drug Cartels have. They basically control the northern towns of Mexico. They are developing a parallel government. They already have tentacles here.

U.S. military report warns ‘sudden collapse’ of Mexico is possible

EL PASO – Mexico is one of two countries that “bear consideration for a rapid and sudden collapse,” according to a report by the U.S. Joint Forces Command on worldwide security threats.

We need to watch this. Our border is important. We need to deploy troops now to defend from the Cartels trying to take over here. They already are here and are lurking. We need to spy on the Cartels the way we spy on Jihadists.

The command’s “Joint Operating Environment (JOE 2008)” report, which contains projections of global threats and potential next wars, puts Pakistan on the same level as Mexico. “In terms of worse-case scenarios for the Joint Force and indeed the world, two large and important states bear consideration for a rapid and sudden collapse: Pakistan and Mexico.

The Russo-Chinese threat in Latin America

This is very important. While the US has its army 1/2 a world away, something sinister is brewing closer to home. The Russians and Chinese are making inroads into Latin America. We are doing nothing. We are so concerned about defending Europe and Arab oil, that we are not watching the threat that is closer. America needs to be more concerned over our own hemisphere. We can’t let Russia and China flank us. It could cost us dearly in the future.

Russia, China, Move In on Latin America

Today’s arrival of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on a two-day visit to Venezuela to meet with President Hugo Chavez is a stark reminder that potential problems aren’t always “Over There.”

The assertive political, economic and security overtures by Russia – and China, by the way – in the Western Hemisphere mean we had better pay close attention to our own ‘hood in the coming years.

The Latin American jaunt is clearly meant to exert Russia’s self-image as a world – not just regional – power. (Moscow is jousting with Beijing, Washington and Brussels for influence in places like Africa, too.)

This is very alarming.
