Mitch McConnell open to a limited raising of the debt ceiling

Senate Minority leader Mitch McConnell is open to raising the debt ceiling for a few months. That way budget negotiations can continue.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Congress and the White House could raise the debt limit for a few months while they seek a comprehensive, long-term budget deal, Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell said on Sunday.

The Obama administration has warned it will run out of money to pay the nation’s bills if Congress does not raise the $14.3 trillion debt limit by August 2 — a prospect that could push the country back into recession and upend global financial markets.

Republicans need to hold firm on this issue. I’m not opposed to raising the ceiling for a few months, but after that no way.

Congressional Eunuchs

I’m beginning to wonder whether the War Powers Resolution was the actual target of the Rapture which was supposed to have taken place on May 21. Not only has الرئيس أوباما ignored the requirement to seek Congressional approval for continued military authorization past the 60-day deadline, Congress doesn’t have the intestinal fortitude to truly call him on his deliberate inaction.
Never mind what Dennis Kucinich (Tinfoil Hat-OH10) has to say about the matter:

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said he doesn’t know if the president violated the War Powers Act, and finds the administration’s actions “a bit confusing now.”
“The administration is going to have to decide whether it thinks it was triggered and we’ll have to respond to that,” McConnell told “Fox News Sunday.” Senator (John) McCain has been to Benghazi as I think everyone knows. He is keeping us posted on what he thinks ought to be done.”

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot! If Senator McConnell can’t figure out whether the War Powers Resolution (which, by the way, IS the Law of the Land whether we like it or not) has been triggered…what does that say about the rest of the GOP leadership in Congress?

Hugo Chavez using his new powers

Totalitarian Progressive, Hugo Chavez, has recently been granted emergency powers by the old Congress before the new one (that has a larger number of opposition) is sworn in. Sound familiar? He is doing what his Socialist compadre and fellow 3rd world liberation ideologue, Barack Hussein Obama, would love to do, redistribute the wealth. Taking advantage of a the rainstorms that has caused floods, he has created a 2.3 billion fund to supposedly assist those effected.

CARACAS (Reuters) – Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez made his first use of new decree powers on Sunday to create a $2.3 billion fund for reconstruction after widespread flooding that left more than 130,000 people homeless.

The South American OPEC member nation’s socialist leader has infuriated opposition parties and been criticized as a dictator for assuming fast-track powers for the next 18 months that will enable him to rule by decree and bypass parliament.

[…]

But critics say the president has cynically exploited the disaster as an excuse to outwit opposition parties who were due to take a larger share of seats — 40 percent — in the incoming National Assembly which convenes on January 5.

In reality, Hugo Chavez will use this fund to enrich himself and his cronies. That’s what Progressives do. They take advantage of disasters and use them for political gain. He also will be able to bypass a less friendly Congress where the opposition made gains.

Barack Hussein Obama wishes he could do this. Then again with elitist Rockefeller Republicans like the useless Mitch McConnell and crybaby metrosexual, John Boehner, he might not need emergency powers like Chavez. The Republican leadership is so weak they will crumble before him.

Tonight I will have a new Hugo Chavez song, were he sings to the flood victims.

Update: The Democratic Party has actively colluded with Chavez’s allies the FARC.

A hard drive recovered from the computer of a killed Colombian guerrilla has offered more insights into the opposition of House Democrats to the U.S.-Colombia Free Trade Agreement.

A military strike three weeks ago killed Raúl Reyes, No. 2 in command of the FARC, Colombia’s most notorious terrorist group. The Reyes hard drive reveals an ardent effort to do business directly with the FARC by Congressman James McGovern (D., Mass.), a leading opponent of the free-trade deal. Mr. McGovern has been working with an American go-between, who has been offering the rebels help in undermining Colombia’s elected and popular government.

The modern Democratic Party is evil.

Boehner needs to grow a spine

No sooner do the Republicans win an election that they go back to their old ways. Riding the Tea Party fueled anger over the Progressive movement and their iron grip on power, the GOP promised that this time they would stick to their guns. Already they are appointing the same Progressive Republicans to committees. In short like the Bourbons of France, they have forgotten nothing and learned nothing.

Speaker elect John Boehner (R-Oh) is complaining that Obama is mean to him. Rather than man up and treat Obama like how he’s treated, he complains. This is reminiscent of back in 1995 when during the trip to the funeral of Israeli PM Rabin, Newt Gingrich complained that Clinton ignored him and made him sit in the back of the plane. This is history repeating itself and a bad omen for the next 2 years for the Republican House.

John Boehner thinks President Barack Obama is engaging, smart and brilliant but also remains smarted by the president accusing him of taking taxpayers hostage to secure a tax break for the rich.

In an interview with Leslie Stahl of “60 Minutes” for broadcast Sunday night on CBS, Boehner said Obama showed him “disrespect” by calling him a hostage-taker.

“Excuse me, Mr. President I thought the election was over,” Boehner said, according to a transcript obtained by POLITICO. “You know, you get a lot of that heated rhetoric during an election. But now it’s time to govern.”

I was never a fan of John Boehner. He is your typical  good old boy go along to get along Republican. I was hoping Eric Cantor, who demolished Barack Hussein Obama, would challenge him for the Republican House leadership. However on election night Boehner cried and thus inoculated himself to a challenge. Now he’s complaining about Obama not respecting him. My advice to John and his clownish partner, Senate minority leader Sen. McConnell (R-Ky), man up. Stop complaining about how Progressive treat you. They view you as an enemy to be defeated, not someone to have a disagreement with. Politics is war and the Republican elite need to see it that way.

John Boehner and Mitch McConnell need to go.
