US Taxpayer funded power plant benefits the Taliban

In an effort to win over the Afghan population, the US has poured Millions of our tax dollars to upgrade the power system. Like others things in the Afghan war, even this is not going according to plan. It turns out that the actual beneficiary of these new power plants, is the Taliban. One again American taxmoney is aiding our enemies to the detriment of American soldiers. This is madness and I hope Gen. Patraeus’s review of the war includes securing supply lines and power stations. The course of the war is unsustainable in terms of lives and treasure.

LASHKAR GAH, Afghanistan—The U.S. has poured more than $100 million into upgrading the Kajaki hydropower plant, the biggest source of electricity in south Afghanistan. And it plans on spending much more, in an effort to woo local sympathies away from the Taliban insurgency.

Yet, one of the biggest beneficiaries of this American-taxpayer-financed project are the Taliban themselves.

Since U.S.-funded repairs of a turbine at the Kajaki plant doubled its capacity in October, nearly half of the total electrical output has flowed to districts in Helmand province where the Taliban administer the grid, Afghan officials say. In those districts, residents pay their monthly electricity bills directly to the insurgents, who use the proceeds to fund their war with American and British troops.

“The more electricity there is, the more money the Taliban make,” says Hajji Gul Mohammad Khan, tribal-affairs adviser to the government of Helmand.

Our mission in Afghanistan should be to kill the enemy and humiliate them. We need to instill fear in them, instead the Islamic forces laugh at us. We build schools, roads and hospitals while they build bombs and kill out troops. They are fighting for the Islamic nation, we are fighting for the naive Wilsonian Progressive concept of spreading Democracy. The US should only fight for our national interest and fight to win. No mercy is to be shown our adversaries and we should not be spending tax money to assist them.

America’s is the world’s sucker. We die while nations like China win oil and mineral contracts and Europeans get to party. Enough is enough already, America needs to wake up stand up for itself.

Americans Troops dying for China and Oklahoma bans Sharia Law

Recently there was a find in Afghanistan of minerals worth 1 Trillion Dollars. This find now alters the situation in Afghanistan where Barack Hussein Obama is preparing to begin withdrawal in 2011. What will now occur now is that the Tranzi Progressives Neo-Wilsonians will pressure Obama to keep troops there, not to defeat the Taliban but secure the minerals. As what happened in Iraq, it will not be America who benefits from this, it will be China. Ralph Peters explains it in his current article and it’s not good for America.

Beyond reportedly vast deposits of rare minerals (lithium, etc.) essential to popular technologies, there’s copper, cobalt, iron and gold in them thar hills. Afghanistan never before offered so much to fight over.

Instead of making life easier for our troops, the finds will make it harder to disengage. Washington will succumb to arguments that we need to preserve access to these strategic resources, even though it’s far cheaper to buy them than to prolong a military protectorate. (US firms won’t get the good contracts, anyway.)

We already provide strategic security for Chinese mining interests in Afghanistan — having been chumped by the Karzai government out of the gate. Now the Chinese will arrive in hordes, bribing and smiling.

It’s a shame that America is fighting and dying so the Chinese can get rich. We have gained very little from these wars and have spent blood and treasure. We lost 4,000 Men in Iraq and did not get Oil contracts, the Chinese and others did. Now the situation is repeating itself in Afghanistan. This is a disgrace and the blame falls on our Elites of both parties and their Transnationalist Globalist Ideology. Americans are fighting and dying not for their country, but so that other nations live well economically.

Ralph Peters sums it up perfectly:

It’s high time to ask ourselves the basic question about Afghanistan that we’ve avoided since we made the decision to stay: What do we get out of it?

“Chinese access to strategic minerals” is not an adequate answer.

America must stop being the world’s sucker and we should fight only for our interest. We should get economic benefits from our wars, not the Global Community. The United States of America is the world’s biggest sucker.

More News: In a blow to the Progressive-Islamic Axis, the state of Oklahoma has banned Sharia Law.

Legal experts contacted by ABC News said they did not know of one instance of a judge in the U.S. invoking sharia in rendering a decision.

Cases of first impression are rare,” said Jim Cohen , a professor at the Fordham University School of Law in New York City, adding, “I have never heard of a case” involving sharia.

Cohen added that he questions whether the proposed amendment would pass constitutional muster.

“Our federal system and our state system is in part governed by the concept of separation of powers. It’s far from clear that the Oklahoma legislature can restrict what a separate branch of government can consider in terms of doing its job – in this case, deciding cases,” he said.

More states should pass this measure to prevent Islamic Colonization of America. I salute the patriots of Oklahoma for taking a stand against the Islamic-Progressive Axis.

Obama and his Tranzi agenda for the World

The regime of Barack Hussein Obama is the first Post American Presidency. He clearly ran for President not to be leader of America, but a global leader. He promised Global cooperation and has gone out of his way to make nice with our enemies. However, it’s not working. Syrian President Assad, whom Obama heaped praise and attention on, dismissed him as having no influence. The Korean situation is volatile and could ignite at anytime. There have been attempted attacks on the US Homeland. The Taliban is still as strong as ever and Obama’s ROE and 2011 deadline is hindering our troops from victory. In short, Obama’s Transnationalist Ideology is not realistic and it is failing. However, he gave a speech at West Point where he called for more this failed policy.

On Saturday, Pres. Barack Obama gave a commencement speech at the United States Military Academy at West Point, which in effect told the thousand or so soon-to-be second lieutenants that, if he has his way, they’ll soon be out of a job.

Obama outlined for the cadets his vision of a new international order organized around bodies such as the United Nations. In Obama’s future, American military force will give way to American diplomacy joined together with new multilateral partnerships, while “stronger international standards and institutions” will replace unilateral assertion of national interests — including our own. Obama told West Point’s Class of 2010 that he sees them not battling our enemies but “combating a changing climate and sustaining global growth, [and] helping countries feed themselves” even as their citizens achieve their “universal rights.”

America must pursue it’s interests not some noble goal of bettering humanity. We tried that under George W. Bush and achieved no great results. Now Obama is doubling down on the discredited Wilsonian Foreign policy and the results are even worse. It’s time for America’s foreign policy to be based on strength and power, not unrealistic ideals.

Update- I wish more in the GOP would run commercials like this one below:
