Eat This.

“What are we having for lunch, mom?”
“A six pack.”

Savage’s Girl sent me a link describing the latest in convenience foods. I think it’s a clever idea, all the makings for a sandwich provided in an aluminum can that can be sold from a vending machine next to the sodas. I’d give ’em a shot. The idea is not unique. Check this out:

CheeseburgerInACan is great in concept, just heat and eat, except for one minor problem. It doesn’t look anything like the advertisement above, and looks a lot like the image below.

Canned Cheesburger’s got nothing on a bag of White Castle sliders, IMO. Even so, I’d give it at least one bite before I fed it to the family Insinkerator. But I gotta draw the line somewhere, and here it is:

Nice picture on the can – musta been the rejected Beta version. Even though Sweet Sue says it’s fully cooked, this doesn’t even qualify for bachelor food. I don’t think I’d even… um… oop…  ‘scuse me… *uurrrrrrrp.*

Click on the images for sources, and while I clean off the keyboard, let’s crack open up a can of Overnight Open Thread.

YAY! IT’S SARCASM NIGHT! Not.

Bet you thought this was gonna be a funny post, huh? Well, you’re mistaken. Look at that photo… the guy’s got an immense paperclip on his sleeve and he’s totally oblivious to it. Like that has anything to do with anything.

A man once said that two negatives equal a positive, but two positives don’t equal a negative. To that I say, “Yeah, right,”  as if he knew anything about an Overnight Open Thread.

Barry and the Party Crasher

WASHINGTON DC, July 21 (Eliana News) – President Barack Obama was surprised again by an unexpected guest at his celebrity-only White House party last week. The Secret Service is apologizing for allowing a party crasher to make it deep enough into the party to engage in conversation with the President before being dragged away by red-faced security officials.

Eliana News has another exclusive report on what transpired in this conversation:

Party Crasher: Excuse me, President Obama. May I have a word with you?

Barry: Who are you? Nice t-shirt with the design of a tuxedo on it, by the way. It goes well with your ponytail.

Party Crasher: Thanks. I spent 3 months’ income on this.

Barry: Oh. You’re a party crasher. Where’s my security….?

Party Crasher: No no no! Mr. President, I need to speak with you. My name is [EXPLETIVE DELETED] and I run an extremely influential blog called [EXPLETIVE DELETED]. My blog is so powerful that I determine who will be elected in America!!

Barry: You run an iPod?

Party Crasher: No! It’s a BLOG. B-L-O-G!

Barry: Is it bigger or smaller than an iPod?

Party Crasher: No, it’s a BLOG! Surely you have heard of me! I determine the results of American elections!

Barry: Oh. In that case, let me see this iBlog. Are you carrying it in your pocket? Does it play music and send Twitters?

Party Crasher: No, it’s not in my pocket!! It’s a website!!

Barry: Oh. Where’s my security..?

Party Crasher: Guess what, Mr. President? I’m on your side now. I wish I had voted for you.

Barry: You didn’t vote for me?? You probably didn’t send me any money either. You can afford a fancy iBlog in your pocket that plays music and sends Twitters but you couldn’t send me any money?? Where’s my security???

Party Crasher: I’m sorry, Mr. President.

Barry: Well, don’t get your ponytail in a knot. What did you want to say to me, anyway?

Party Crasher: I don’t know.

Barry: Security is coming. They’ll see you to the door. Hit the Tip Jar on your way out.

Party Crasher: [Indistinguishable muttering as he is dragged away…]

Barry: HA! They say I know nothing about technology. I knew what an iBlog was right away!! I’ll get Rahm to buy me one so that I can determine the results of American elections!

Practical Geometry

Steamboat McGoo found this excellent study illustrating the importance of understanding basic geometry. Although the explanation is in Japanese, it’s of critical importance that angle TQS is equal to angle AQE in order to cause the schoolboy’s jaw to drop.  Further clarifications will likely show up in tonight’s Overnight Open Thread.
