1 carat diamonds set in gold. 😆  Do i win?

Thanks 1389 for the lecture. I’m scarce for a while, got a rotation at a top notch/world famous hospital. But i have to travel. The money is great, and this  opportunity can’t be passed up. 13 weeks of long drives from home, crashing at my parents once or twice a week (thank God they live  where they do), and learning…learning…learning.

Expect some pretty good cardiac lectures after this.

Use ear protection when viewing fireworks at close range!

It’s called tinnitus.

What’s happening inside our ears when we can hear that ringing? What’s happening inside our brains? Sit back, clean the wax out of your ears, and let Michael Aranda explain!

Understanding Bayes’ Theorem

Many people are intimidated by Bayes’ theorem, because it looks like a complicated mathematical equation. However, once we understand what the symbols represent, Bayes’ theorem turns out to be based on the sort of math we all learned in elementary school. To prove it, here’s a video of me teaching Bayes’ theorem to two of my sons (ages nine and ten). If they can learn it, you can learn it!

Some people complain about Islam because of the endless terrorist attacks they read about every day. Others complain about Islam because they read the Qur’an and Hadith and find incredibly violent teachings. No matter how you look at it, reading is a source of Islamophobia. Hence, in order to combat Islamophobia, reading must be eliminated. Join my campaign against literacy.
