Raincoaster has one of the longest running comment threads I’ve ever seen.
It’s been going on and off since April 2007 and as of this posting has over 2,100 comments. It’s a fun read, complete with clever banter, funny logic, some trolls and a few flamewars.
Plan to spend some time perusing, but don’t do it right now, because it’s time for The Overnight Open Thread.

Reminds me of a story I read about a functional autistic woman. The story was fascinating, a glimpse into the mind of a savant.
She was being interviewed, and as the two were walking down the street, the woman began whistling a strange tune. Her interviewer asked where she had heard the song. The autistic woman replied that the birds wrote it, and pointed to the overhead power lines. She was reading the birds as notes on a stanza.
Some of the musical Blogmockrateers ought to give that a shot when stumped for inspiration, and post the results on The Overnight Open Thread.
Yep, that’s the Bunk X Central Command Post. Sure, it’s cluttered, but it’s organized clutter – at least that’s what I tell the missus. I rarely lose anything unless someone moves it more than a foot or so.
You can blame 1389AD for this post, because she emailed me the following images of cluttered desks, and to whom they belong. Take your best guess for each cluttered mess, then click on the images to see who owns them.
Just because MY desk is cluttered doesn’t mean I believe I’m in the same league as any of the others referenced above. I just wanted to take Dorian down a notch for fun, here on The Overnight Open Thread.

Okay, someone somewhere actually ate that stuff, and someone somewhere actually liked it, just like someone somewhere actually ate and liked this. To each their own, I suppose.
