I can make a pretty good rabbit, donkey, swan and an elephant, but those three are professionals. Very clever use of props, too – the soccer balls for wheels is perfect.

Speaking of balls, it’s time to come out of the shadows and shine a light on

Is that the wife of the late Dick Wilson? I doubt it, but at least she’s doing her civic duty to protect the homeland, squeezing Charmin on behalf of those who can’t or won’t, and scanning the skies for subtle signs of the incoming

Housecats have absolutely no class. Thank God they can’t use the internest because we’d be all like DOOOOOMED* and stuff – the only thing you could Google would be Norsk Skogkatts, YouTube would have only one music video, and they’d likely crap all over The Overnight Open Thread.

During the 1906 San Francisco earthquake, a statue of Louis Agassiz fell from its niche on the front of the Stanford University zoology building. Stanford President David Starr Jordan later wrote, “Somebody – Dr. Angell, perhaps – remarked that ‘Agassiz was great in the abstract but not in the concrete.'”

Four cool things about the photo.
1. The statue didn’t shatter on impact;
2. It was able to pierce the pavement;
3. It inspired the invention of the concrete wheelstop;
4. 106 years later, it provided an introduction to The Overnight Open Thread.
