WASILLA, Alaska – Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin surprised supporters Friday and announced she is resigning from office at the end of the month without explaining why she plans to step down — throwing into question whether she would seek a run for the White House in 2012.
[…]
The former Republican vice presidential candidate said she had been considering leaving office since she decided not to run for re-election.

“Many just accept that lame duck status, and they hit that road. They draw a paycheck. They kind of milk it. And I’m not going to put Alaskans through that,” Palin said.

Wow, just wow.

“Many just accept that lame duck status, and they hit that road. They draw a paycheck. They kind of milk it. And I’m not going to put Alaskans through that,” Palin said.

OK, now that she put it that way, I agree and if frees her up of other things.

Supreme Court rules in favor of Discriminated Fire Fighters

In a blow to racism and discrimination, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of White and Hispanic firefighters who were not promoted because of their race. Although the media reporting only states that the firefighters are White, the truth is that there is also one Hispanic involved with the lawsuit as well.   Either way race based promotions are wrong and against the 1964 Civil Rights act.

Court Rules for White Firefighters Over Promotions

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court ruled Monday that white firefighters in New Haven, Conn., were unfairly denied promotions because of their race, reversing a decision that high court nominee Sonia Sotomayor endorsed as an appeals court judge.

New Haven was wrong to scrap a promotion exam because no African-Americans and only two Hispanic firefighters were likely to be made lieutenants or captains based on the results, the court said Monday in a 5-4 decision. The city said that it had acted to avoid a lawsuit from minorities.

The ruling could alter employment practices nationwide and make it harder to prove discrimination when there is no evidence it was intentional.

As a “minority” ( I hate that term and feel it is racist) I don’t need help to compete for a job position or promoted. If my latin ancestors (Imperial Rome and Imperial Spain) dominated the world, I can compete with a White, Asian or Black person for a position.  If a White person beats be out, it is because they are more qualified and I need to step up my game. That is life and it is based on ability, not race.

This race based nonsense need to stop, we are all members of the same race: The Human Race. Also we are American citizens equal under the law.  However, that also does not guarantee equal results. It is up to an individual to achieve a result, race has nothing to do with it.

As thousands of American-Iranian Immigrants take to the streets as a sign of their solidarity, POTUS eats custard and plays golf.

The LA Times reports more than 1,000 protesters were in Westwood on Saturday most wearing green as a show of support for Mir-Hossein Mousavi. Similar protests took place in San Diego.

“We’re here to show solidarity with the people on the streets of Iran,” said Shahin, 31, a computer executive from the San Fernando Valley. “I hope, to people here, this will be another manifest about how the people in Iran are so different than the government

The Washington Times reports that American-Iranian Immigrants protested in most major U.S. cities, including New York, Boston, Chicago, Houston and Washington.

Sheida Jafari was among several hundred American-Iranian who gathered last week in front of a Washington office that houses the Iranian Interests Section to protest what they viewed as rigged election results that gave a landslide victory to incumbent President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad over challenger Mir Hossein Mousavi. “For me, it’s more about showing my solidarity with all my friends in Iran, my family in Iran, everyone who has to live under a regime that prevents them from living their lives freely,” she said.

Where is POTUS while all of this is going on? Well he is eating frozen custard, playing golf and sticking his mug on TV for the 150th day in a row.  Nobody loves Obama, like Obama does.

Can we impeach President Hussein yet?

Or do we just need some more Czars?

America, wake up already and put an end to this corrupt egoistical pretender.
A 1.4 trillion dollar deficit should be reason enough, POTUS is robbing us and future generations blind.
