The Progressive Propaganda Media

The Tranzi Totalitarian Progressive movement has its reach in all facets of society. They currently control our government, education system, entertainment industry and most importantly, our media. Their cover has been blown with the release of the JournoList emails. This was an online hub where Progressive journalists would coordinate talking points and their smears. This is the smoking gun that exposes the leftist propaganda network.

My guess is that this and other revelations about JournoList will deepen the distrust of the national press. True, participants in the online clubhouse appear to hail chiefly from the media’s self-identified left wing. But its founder, Ezra Klein, is a prominent writer for the Washington Post. Mr. Klein shut down JournoList last month—a wise decision.

It’s thanks to Tucker Carlson’s Daily Caller website that we know something about JournoList, though the emails among the liberal journalists were meant to be private. (Mr. Carlson hasn’t revealed how he obtained the emails.) In June, the Daily Caller disclosed a series of JournoList musings by David Weigel, then a Washington Post blogger assigned to cover conservatives. His emails showed he loathes conservatives, and he was subsequently fired.

2010 will go down as the anno horribalis of the Progressive movement. The Obama Boom lie has been exposed and his ratings have collapsed. The Tea Party movement has become a threat to leftists in both parties. Things are falling apart and the JournoList scandal is just another wheel coming off.

Hope and Change was a scam

Hope and Change was the Progressive mantra during the 2008 elections. It’s goal was to con the public into voting for Barack Hussein Obama and making it seem as if he was a post partisan president. It worked and the Progressive controlled Democratic party was swept into power. As soon as the Leftists showed their true colors, the regime began to lose support. The hope and change mantra was nothing but a deceptive lie and in reality it was a sham to impose a radical Transnationalist Totalitarian agenda. Many Americans realized this and joined the Tea Party resistance movement against the regime. Obama’s approval ratings have collapsed from their highs in the upper 60’s and are stuck in the mid 40’s. In reality it should be lower, but the Progressive propaganda media and their lies of an Obama boom keeps some of these people to still have hope. Well at this point if you still have hope in Obama, then I have beachfront property to sell you in Phoenix.

(Picture Hat Tip: The People’s Cube)

The hope that fired up the election of Barack Obama has flickered out, leaving a national mood of despair and disappointment. Americans are dispirited over how wrong things are and uncertain they can be made right again. Hope may have been a quick breakfast, but it has proved a poor supper. A year and a half ago Obama was walking on water. Today he is barely treading water. Then, his soaring rhetoric enraptured the nation. Today, his speeches cannot lift him past a 45 percent approval rating.

There is a widespread feeling that the government doesn’t work, that it is incapable of solving America’s problems. Americans are fed up with Washington, fed up with Wall Street, fed up with the necessary but ill-conceived stimulus program, fed up with the misdirected healthcare program, and with pretty much everything else. They are outraged and feel that the system is not a level playing field, but is tilted against them. The millions of unemployed feel abandoned by the president, by the Democratic Congress, and by the Republicans.

The American people wanted change, and who could blame them? But now there is no change they can believe in. Sixty-two percent believe we are headed in the wrong direction—a record during this administration. All the polls indicate that anti-Washington, anti-incumbent sentiment is greater than it has been in many years. For the first time, Obama’s disapproval rating has topped his approval rating. In a recent CBS News poll, there is a meager 15 percent approval rating for Congress. In all polls, voters who call themselves independents have swung against the administration and against incumbents.

The regime of Barack Hussein Obama in reality could care less about the American public. Their agenda is to transform America into a 3rd World style Neo-Feudal system with lords and serfs. Even should the Republicans win Congress in the fall, the lame duck session will be dangerous as the Progressives will pass as much as they can. Hope and change was a lie, just like the ideology of Progressivism.

Why the Obama Boom never materialized

The Progressive Propaganda Media had been pushing the theme of an Obama Boom since last summer. When the GDP stopped declining and job losses stemmed, the Media declared we were entering a Boom. Magazines and newspapers were heralding the success of the Stimulus Bill and claiming that Obama had saved America. Article after article was coming out trumpeting this so called Boom and they were comparing it to the 90’s boom. Reality however has unmasked it as a lie. The stock market has tanked, consumer confidence has collapsed, home sales have crashed, private sector job growth has stagnated and our debt keeps rising. Indications are that the economy is slowing down again, thus increasing the likelihood of a double dip recession. The Progressive economic policies of Barack Hussein Obama have failed!

The administration’s stimulus program has failed. Growth is slow and unemployment remains high. The president, his friends and advisers talk endlessly about the circumstances they inherited as a way of avoiding responsibility for the 18 months for which they are responsible.

But they want new stimulus measures—which is convincing evidence that they too recognize that the earlier measures failed. And so the U.S. was odd-man out at the G-20 meeting over the weekend, continuing to call for more government spending in the face of European resistance.

The contrast with President Reagan’s antirecession and pro-growth measures in 1981 is striking. Reagan reduced marginal and corporate tax rates and slowed the growth of nondefense spending. Recovery began about a year later. After 18 months, the economy grew more than 9% and it continued to expand above trend rates.

Two overarching reasons explain the failure of Obamanomics. First, administration economists and their outside supporters neglected the longer-term costs and consequences of their actions. Second, the administration and Congress have through their deeds and words heightened uncertainty about the economic future. High uncertainty is the enemy of investment and growth.

The Obama boom was a mirage invented by the media to create false confidence and this lead to growth. However it didn’t work as teh public saw no improvement and are now again saving money. Barack Hussein Obama’s economic policies are a failure and at the G20, his suggestion to continue deficit spending where ridiculed.

The problem is not Israeli Public Relations

First it would help if Israel were a bit more proactive with the P.R. There have been several very good Israeli spokespeople in the past (the best being Benjamin Netanyahu) including a woman colonel name Miri Eisen and another woman named Lieutenant Colonel Avital Leibovich. However the videos that the IDF posted about the Gaza flotilla as well as the satirical “We Con the World” videos have been a huge help. The problem is that those who complain about bad Israeli responses to media biases are presupposing that much of the media and European opinion  are predisposed to even listening  to the Israeli point of view.

by Ted Belman

When Israel loses yet another PR battle, many of her friends complain that she is partly to blame because she is woefully inept when it comes to PR. I am not one of them.

Glenn Jasper, Ruder Finn Israel, recently suggested that Israel should have all its spokesmen deliver the same message. After all, that’s what the Palestinians do. That might be a good idea, except that Israel is a nation of presidents, and each president will deliver his or her own message. They can’t be disciplined.

Alex Fishman suggested that Israel should consider the PR battle as more important than the military battle and organize accordingly.

Hence, the manager of this war on our side should not be the army via the IDF spokesman, but rather, someone on the highest national level, with the best professionals, who would have the knowledge and ability to write the “scripts” for the war and enforce them on all our executive arms, including the army.

Good as these suggestions are, they don’t go to the heart of the matter.

To start with, there is a coalition of forces, including anti-Semites, leftists and Islamists, that is dedicated to Israel’s destruction. They couldn’t care less about truth and justice, so a better PR campaign would be irrelevant. Then there is the main stream media, which presents news to support their agenda rather than the truth. The fact that they suppressed the flotilla videos, which made Israel’s case better than a thousand words could have, is testimony to this fact. They have constructed a narrative in support of their agenda, and any facts not in keeping with it are ignored.

Iran and Syria also learned this lesson. They could keep killing Americans in Iraq as long as they denied their complicity. The U.S. rarely called them on this because if she did, she would have to do something about it.

[…]

This is not to say that Israel should cease its PR efforts. She shouldn’t. She should continue to provide her friends with the truth so that they maintain their friendship, lest they be infected as well. Notwithstanding all the demonization she is subjected to and the realpolitik, she has managed to keep the goodwill of the American people and others who value truth and justice. Ultimately, this is her trump card.
