Bad sample gives Obama a 3 point lead over Romney in Quinnipiac Poll

Another day and another poll to prop up the media’s beloved god-king Quinnipiac conducted a poll that has Obama leading Romney 46-43. It doesn’t seem bad on the surface, but take a look at the sample and you realize they are really trying to prop up Obama.

Only 27% of voters are Republicans? I call bogus on that. In 2010, the exit polls had samples of 35 R/35 D/30 I. That is the model polls should be using. But they don’t because the results may not be favorable to America’s Caligula.

Reuters/Ipsos poll also has  a terrible sample. They have Obama leading Romney 46-43. They arrive at that figure by using another bogus sample.

These polling organizations are losing credibility. Clearly their goal is to prop up Obama at all costs and make him appear as a winner.

Quinnipiac University Florida Poll: Romney 47% – Obama 41%

As a Florida resident I can testify to the accuracy of this poll. Many Floridians are tired of the Pharoah and his lies. His flip on Gay marriage did him damage here. Although many Floridians even those on the Right like me are OK with Civil Unions/Domestic Partnerships, Gay Marriage is a red line. Plus the economy sucks and Floridians have had it with the god-king. This has propelled Mitt Romney to 6 point lead.

Gov. Mitt Romney holds a 47 – 41 percent lead over President Barack Obama in Florida, where 63 percent of voters say the president’s support of same-sex marriage will not affect their vote, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today. Another 25 – 11 percent of voters, including 23 – 9 percent among independent voters, say Obama’s support of gay marriage makes them less likely to support his candidacy.

Adding Florida U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio to the GOP ticket would give the Republican Romney/Rubio team a 49 – 41 percent lead over President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden.

Romney’s lead in the horse race compares to a 44 – 43 percent tie in a May 3 survey by the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University and a 49 – 42 percent Obama lead March 28.

Florida registered voters say 52 – 44 percent that the president does not deserve a second term in the Oval Office and by 52 – 44 percent give him a thumbs-down on his job approval.

“Gov. Mitt Romney has slipped into the lead in Florida and that standing is confirmed by his much better numbers than the president when voters are asked whether they view the candidates favorably or unfavorably. They view Romney favorably 44 – 35 percent, while Obama gets a negative 45 – 50 percent favorability,” said Peter A. Brown, assistant vice president of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute.

“The overall picture in Florida is positive for Romney, who is ahead 50 – 37 percent among men, while women are divided 44 – 45 percent. And the president is getting just 33 percent of white votes, compared to 85 percent of black votes and 42 percent of Hispanic votes.”

Romney is doing OK with Hispanic voters in Florida at 40%. He’s still under-performing with the Florida Hispanic vote, but odds are the undecided Hispanics would break for him, thus pushing him over 50%. Florida is not a battleground state. It should be moved into the lean Romney category.

Obama approval up to 47% in Quinnipiac Poll

For those who think Obama will be a pushover, think again. I have been warning people that he has a formidable machine behind him. He has a hold on the American public, who despite what he does still love him. Quinnipiac has a poll out showing Obama’s approval is up to 47%. That’s a 6 point gain from last month when it was 41%. Even worse, Democrats beat Republicans by 8 in the generic congressional ballot.

President Barack Obama’s job approval rating is up, from a negative 41 – 55 percent October 6, to a split today with 47 percent approving and 49 percent disapproving in a Quinnipiac University poll released today. The president has leads of 5 to 16 percentage points over likely Republican challengers.

Voters also are divided 47 – 49 percent on whether Obama deserves reelection, compared to last month, when voters said 54 – 42 percent he did not deserve reelection.

[….]

“President Barack Obama seems to be improving in voters’ eyes almost across-the-board,” said Peter Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute. “He scores big gains among the groups with whom he has had the most problems – whites and men. Women also shift from a five-point negative to a four-point positive.

“Whether this is a blip, perhaps because of the death of Moammar Gadhafi and the slight improvement in some of the economic numbers, or the beginning of a sustained upward move in his popularity isn’t clear and won’t be for some time. Nevertheless, the movement allows the White House a sigh of relief, for the president’s approval had been stuck in the low 40s for some time and even a temporary upward move is good news for the folks at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.”

Over the past month the president’s approval among men improved from 60 – 36 percent disapproval to 53 – 43 percent disapproval today; white voters shift from 62 – 34 percent disapproval to 56 – 40 percent disapproval. Women shift from a 51 – 46 percent disapproval last month to a 50 – 46 percent approval today.

Don’t dismiss these numbers. If I was a betting man, I would bet on Obama getting re-elected. He has the machine and his race as advantages. If the economy grows at 2-2.% next year, he will win. The media will show it as proof things are good. Many voters will fall for it to continue the Obama deception.

Americans still blame Baby Bush for the bad economy

Many Conservatives are still in denial about Baby Bush. He has become some martyred saint to some on the Right, hence my name St. George of the Bush. The biggest joke is, Baby Bush was no Conservative. He was a Progressive Rockefeller Republican. Another fact some Conservatives are in denial is the unpopularity St. George of the Bush has with the American public.

Despite being out of office 2 1/2 years a majority of Americans still blameBush for the bad economy. To be fair, Obama’s policies haven’t helped and have caused long term damage. However, the public still has bad taste in its mouth from the Baby Bush years.

Americans overwhelmingly disapprove of President Obama’s handling of the economy, but by 2-1 they pin the blame on former President George W. Bush rather than Obama, who is now more than 60 percent through his term of office

“Given this public view, it might be reasonable to expect that the president’s re-election campaign will be, as it was in 2008, running against the former president, in addition to the actual GOP nominee,” said Brown. “The key voting bloc, independents, say 49 – 24 percent that Bush is more responsible for the economy than Obama.”

In order to defeat Obama, the GOP nominee must distance themselves from St. George of the Bush. Rick Perry and Michele Bachmann were criticized for taking swipes at Baby Bush. However as the poll shows, this is good strategy. The truth is, Americans don’t like Bush. Just because they have soured on Obama, doesn’t mean they have a fondness for the Bush years.

A Non-Bush Republican would make it difficult for Obama to hang St. George of the Bush around their neck.
