Andrea Mitchell says GOP elites ready to dump Romney

I had from a very reliable source involved in Florida GOP politics that if Romney loses Florida, that Jeb Bush would enter.  Now Andrea Mitchell is saying a Romney adviser told her that if there is a loss in Florida, the Establishment will dump Romney.

“I talked to a top Romney adviser tonight who said, ‘Look, if Mitt Romney cannot win in Florida then we’re going to have to try to reinvent the smoke-filled room which has been democratized by all these primaries. And we’re going to have try to come with someone as an alternative to Newt Gingrich who could be Jeb Bush, Mitch Daniels, someone.’ Because there is such a desperation by the so-called party elites, but that’s exactly what Gingrich is playing against,” Andrea Mitchell said on NBC tonight after the debate.

The plot thickens!

The Obama Boom: Mitt Romney says Economy is good

Mitt Romney claims the economy is getting better. Yes, he is buying into the Obama Boom myth! Romney is also giving Obama ammo for the general election.

If Romney is the nominee, he might as well play dead. To claim an economy that has real 16% unemployment and stagnant wages is good, is just nonsense.

Should Romney win or lose, it will be the demise of the GOP

The Republicans are on the verge of nominating their most Progressive candidate since Teddy Roosevelt. This massive leftward shift in the GOP is making many Reagan/Goldwater Conservatives no longer feel welcomed. Should Romney lose, there will be  a full scale civil war in the GOP as Economic/Fiscal Conservatives take on the GOP establishment and various Progressive factions. Should Romney win, the GOP will lose credibility since he will govern as a Leftist. A new Party will emerge and the Democrats will dominate for a decade. Romney is a poison pill.

Mitt Romney, by his actions in Massachusetts both campaigning for the U.S. Senate and as Governor, has shown himself to be more than willing to compromise with the Left and the Democrats.   He has proposed and passed the socialist RomneyCare policy, pro-abortion regulations, and gun control, and raised numerous taxes and fees while increasing spending dramatically.   During the current campaign he refuses to call Barack Obama what he is; instead Romney refers to him as just “being over his head.”

If ever a candidate mirrored the mindset and approach of George H.W. Bush, it is Mitt Romney.

This is the last hurrah of the Republican establishment.   The conservatives and libertarians will vote for Romney in November, but only because he is not Barack Obama.  There will be no enthusiasm, which will hurt the down ballot contests for the U.S. Senate, the House and state governorships.   Despite the factors weighing against Obama in this upcoming election, it will be a much closer contest that it should be; perhaps a razor thin victory for Romney.

If Romney were to lose the election, there will be a grass-roots revolt against the Republican Party which will spell its demise.   If he wins and the nation, through the mis-directed policies of Romney and the Republicans in the Congress, continues on its current path of compromising and nibbling around the edges of the nation’s problems, then Romney will be the last Republican president and the specter of the Democrats re-assuming power will be a reality.

Yes I will vote for Romney to remove Obama. But be prepared for another Socialist regime under a Republican cover. A Romney Presidency will not end well.

Romney vote is anti-Obama, not Pro-Romney

Mitt Romney appears on the verge of getting the GOP nomination. One chilling fact from the latest Fox Poll, people supporting him don’t like him. Its an anti-Obama vote.

President Barack Obama and Republican frontrunner Mitt Romney are essentially tied in a hypothetical general election matchup. Still, Obama’s support is stronger and more positive than Romney’s.

That’s according to a Fox News poll released Monday.

In a potential Obama-Romney election, 46 percent of voters would back Obama and 45 percent Romney if the election were held today. The president’s narrow advantage is well within the poll’s three percentage-point margin of sampling error.

And behind those numbers is a striking contrast: 74 percent of Obama backers say they are voting “for” him rather than “against Romney” (21 percent). Yet for Romney, his support is mainly anti-Obama. Fifty-eight percent of Romney voters say they would be voting “against Obama” rather than “for Romney” (33 percent).

This is very dangerous. An anti-vote usually doesn’t win. Obama voters love their man. Romney voters don’t like their guy. Ina  close election, this gives Obama an edge. If Romney defeats Obama, this means he will quickly lose support and will be unable to govern. I predict Obama will defeat Romney 50-48% with 280-300 electoral votes.
