Chicago’s new top cop says the accessibility to firearms in America is an extension “of government-sponsored racism”

Chicago Police Supt. Garry McCarthy made an idiotic claim. He went off on a diatribe claiming that The US Government allows Guns to flow into the cities to kill Blacks. Never mind that cities like Chicago make it almost impossible for law abiding residents, especially minorities to purchase guns. McCarthy implies that the 2nd Amendment and the right to bear arms is genocidal. Even better, McCarthy makes this speech in St. Sabina Church a liberation theology church headed by our old friend Father Pfleger!

CHICAGO (WLS) – Chicago’s new top cop says the accessibility to firearms in America is an extension “of government-sponsored racism” that goes back to the days of slavery and Jim Crow.

Speaking to parishoners at St. Sabina Church earlier this month, Chicago Police Supt. Garry McCarthy took to the microphone after Father Michael Pfleger spoke about gun control.

[….]

“So here’s what I want to tell you. See, let’s see if we can make a connection here. Slavery. Segregation. Black codes. Jim Crow. What, what did they all have in common? Anybody getting’ scared? Government sponsored racism.”

“Now I want you to connect one more dot on that chain of the African American history in this country, and tell me if I’m crazy. Federal gun laws that facilitate the flow of illegal firearms, into our urban centers across this country, that are killing our black and brown children,” he said.

Police Supt. Garry McCarthy even blames Sarah Palin for gun violence and being complicit in this plot!

McCarthy said when he got home, he turned on his television to unwind and find an episode of “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” showing.

“She was caribou hunting and talking about the right to bear arms. Why wasn’t she at the crime scene with me?”

The 2nd Amendment is part of a genocide plot! I thought I heard it all. Maybe Police Supt. Garry McCarthy should start a blog and rant on his conspiracy theory. He can advise from Charles Johnson on inventing conspiracy theory.

Media lies about Palin’s bus tour

The Media was claiming Palin quit her Bus tour. As usual, it turned out to be a lie!

Imagine our surprise when reading media reports today that the “One Nation Tour” has been cancelled. Why didn’t anyone tell me? Oh, wait, that’s because it hasn’t been cancelled. (Good ol’ media… you never cease to amaze!)

As I said myself at the end of the east coast leg of the tour, the summer is long, and I’m looking forward to hitting the open road again. The coming weeks are tight because civic duty calls (like most everyone else, even former governors get called up for jury duty) and I look forward to doing my part just like every other Alaskan.

I wouldn’t think it to be such a slow news day that, what with numerous wars and serious economic woes concerning Americans, a bus is driving news stories today. The next leg of the tour continues when the time comes. In the meantime, no one should jump to conclusions – certainly not the media with their long track record of getting things wrong or just making things up.

Sarah Palin

They need to leave her alone and let her participate in the political scene.

Another Day, Another Palin Smear Which Turned Out To Be False.

So, here we are, June of 2011, a full 3 years past the op ed penned by Sarah Palin which appeared in Investors Business Daily. This was the first time I had ever heard of the Alaska Governor. The op ed was a very well written open letter to Congress explaining why America should be drilling in ANWR. I thought it was brilliantly written. Others must have thought so as well, as it eventually lead to Palin being named as a running mate for the Democrat Lite GOP nominee, John McCain. Sarah Palin gave a speech accepting her place on the ticket at the Republican National Convention. Even my most liberal friends were forced to admit that the speech was brilliant, and that Governor Palin knocked it out of the park. Then the baloney started.

Immediately after the convention, I began receiving a spam email from any one left of center which was purported to have been written from a citizen in Wasilla, Alaska. Governor Palin was painted in a less than complimentary light. The letter told of her stupidity, ineptitude, and puppy dog kicking days which led to her stumbling into being Alaska’s Governor. I do not believe that the identity of any actual person penning this letter has ever been verified. It was the coordinated astroturfing efforts of a very organized left attacking Governor Palin, more for being female and conservative, than for being conservative. SNL began lampooning her in vicious fashion. Tina Fey’s, “I can see Russia from my house,” line is still quoted by liberal chimpanzees as though it were an authentic quote. Democrat Party Apparatchiks flocked to Alaska and filed unfounded ethics complaints against the Governor. This was done during the election, and the complaints were filed by people living outside of Alaska, but with a clear agenda. Alaska it seems has a unique law. Politicians it seems, are required to fund their own defenses. So, during a Presidential election, Governor Palin was forced to attend to those complaints while running for VP. We were treated to the most bizarre stories and theories including the idea that her youngest child actually belonged to her daughter. She was vilified for choosing to give birth to a baby with Down’s Syndrome while having the nerve to be a career woman. (So much for feminism as a viable political movement.) Meanwhile, her obvious success at running Alaska was reduced to the belief that she just happened to be lucky enough to land in a State which was blessed with abundant natural resources. (I have to laugh at this. Plenty of states have abundant natural resources, but only Palin’s Alaska has the good sense to utilize those resources and limit the governments ability to screw that up.) The lunacy continued last week when CNN and CBS blamed America’s inability to operate motor vehicles on Governor Palin’s bus trip across country. Yesterday though, it reached a deliciously ironic crescendo.

Apparently, our national press corps only learns history by reading Longfellow’s poetry, and not from actually reading any history books.  Palin was brutalized yesterday for getting this bit of history wrong.  The whoops of laughter amongst the political left were loud and obnoxious.  As it turns out, Sarah Palin was correct.  Revere, in his own account of that night written 23 years later explained how he did in fact warn the British of what they were facing.  It takes a really smart person to actually know this bit of history.  It takes a person who is well read, and took the time to learn something beyond just what they heard in a school room poem.  This is the kind of person who would make a good President.

You’ve Got To Be Joking.

I read this today, and sprayed coffee on a formerly clean computer monitor, so be forewarned. Apparently, CBS wishes beyond all hope to win the main stream media race to reach the very bottom and most obviously biased news organization contest. They must have declared all evidence of intelligence will heretofore be hidden. They must be hard at work trying to woo Will Ferrell to the network in order to read the news as his Ron Burgandy Character. The reason for my laughter today? CBS reported in a serious manner today that Sarah Palin is going to create traffic accidents by not supplying the press with her schedule. It would seem as though the main stream media feels that Governor Palin owes them a complete accounting of her time, so that they can adequately destroy her image in any endeavor on which she embarks.

Driving around the country in this big ass bus is a little to hard for the investigative professionals in our national press corps keep up with. MSNBC has at least shown that it is possible to go too far with biased reporting by firing Keith Olberman, and suspending Ed Shultz. They have limits, weak as they may be. CBS, not so much. America is having accidents on its roadways according to CBS, and it is Sarah Palin’s fault. Beyond the lunacy of a supposed news gathering organization whining about the lack of cooperation of a private citizen who has not asked for, nor shown any expectation of receiving their publicity, why should Governor Palin give these imbeciles so much as a seconds thought? 30 months ago, they savaged her in their little and petty club. I can still remember Charlie Gibson looking down his nose through his prop glasses like a college professor lecturing Governor Palin on the proper definition of the Bush Doctrine which by the way, he got incredibly wrong. Tina Fey’s admittedly funny performance on SNL is still quoted by a cackling media and Arnold, not Kennedy, Schwartzenegger as though it were actually attributable to Palin. Personally, I don’t blame Mrs. Palin one bit for not wanting anything to do with a group who has demonstrated ill will and a complete lack of fairness. I don’t believe she will be able to win the Presidency, nor even the Republican Nomination while having a complete press avoidance strategy, but that is the business of Sarah Palin, and nobody else.

In short, quit your whining CBS. and try objectively reporting the news for a change, people might actually watch your dumb little news show then.
