Jobs Under Обамаcare

With the recent passing of Apple’s driving force genius Steve Jobs, it doesn’t take a Rocket Scientist to figure out just how his life would have ended had Обамаcare been fully implemented.
For those out there who do need that Rocket Scientist, here’s a little hint: the iPad which I’m writing this post on…the same device those Wallbaggers are e-mailing Mommy and/or Daddy for more money so they can continue their anti-Capitalist tantrum…would be delayed significantly, or may have never seen the light of day.
Think about that when you read the following from John C. Goodman over at Townhall.com:

In most places in the world today a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer would be considered a death sentence. Aggressive treatment of the condition would be considered a poor use of medical resources — one involving considerable expense in return for only a few extra months of life. Perhaps Jobs’ cancer was of a rare variety that could be removed by surgery.
Even so, almost nowhere else in the world would a pancreatic cancer survivor be considered an appropriate candidate for a liver transplant. In Jobs’ case, the transplant apparently bought him only about two more years of life. In no other developed country would a patient get a liver transplant in order to live two more years.
In Britain, the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) is charged with deciding which treatments the British NHS will pay for and which it will not. NICE considers a treatment cost-effective only if the cost per quality adjusted life year (QALY) is £20,000 or less (about $31,000). Since the cost of a liver transplant plus two years of follow-up care are greater than that number, in Britain Jobs would not have made the cut.

In other words, even the enormous contributions Jobs gave to the world would not have counted in his favor; Обамаcare’s Death Panels would have chopped him just as easily as the poor newborn baby with, for example, cerebral palsy or underdeveloped lungs.
To Президент Обама and the Filthy Communists who follow him, who “theorize” that the world’s economic, scientific, and medical potential is finite. You will be relegated to the ash heap of History!

Over the years many of us watched Apple grow into what it is today, and are simply amazed. Yet, we all knew that there would come a time where its main guiding force, Steve Jobs, would step down as CEO.
As of yesterday, that time has now arrived:

To the Apple Board of Directors and the Apple Community:
I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.
I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee.
As far as my successor goes, I strongly recommend that we execute our succession plan and name Tim Cook as CEO of Apple.
I believe Apple’s brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it. And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role.
I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you.
Steve

I have been a Mac owner for two decades…and now also a new iPad owner, from which this post is written (well, most of it anyway; I still had to go back to the Mac to insert the photo and categorize this!). It is his vision that inspires me to this day as I look to transform my career.
So, anyone who who has an iPad, please take a moment to share your experiences with it. I am still on the learning curve.
Please feel free to leave your comments about Jobs’ decision. He’s not gone entirely…he is taking a different role as Chairman of the Board.
THANK YOU, Steve, for everything that you’ve done to help us better connect with the world.
