The Obama Boom was a myth

Since 2009, the media has been pushing the lie that the economy is recovering. Article after article that things are great and we are in a historic boom has appeared. When the date did not appear as analysts expected, they used the term unexpected. The truth is the Obama Regime’s polices have failed.

his latest recession started in December 2007. Since the Great Depression75 years ago, recessions in America have lasted an average of 10 months, with the longest previously lasting 16 months, not counting this latest spooky downturn.

[….]

The labor force is actually 365,000 workers smaller today than it was in June 2009, when the recession supposedly ended. Counting population growth since then, the economy is actually missing 7.7 million workers that would be in the workforce if the labor force participation rate had remained the same since the supposed end of the recession three years ago.

As Investor’sBusinessDailyreported on May 7, “That’s in stark contrast to every other post-World War II expansion, which saw the labor force climb by millions at this point in their recoveries, even as unemployment rates were driven down.” Indeed, if labor-force participation had stayed the same as it was when the recession supposedly ended in June 2009, the unemployment rate would be 11 percent, as Investor’sBusinessDailyalso reported on May 7. That is a more realistic number because those millions of workers missing from the workforce still exist and still do not have jobs.

That is the only way the unemployment rate has been falling – working people giving up and dropping out of the workforce. As the WallStreetJournalreported in its weekend edition of May 5-6, “Nearly three years into the [Obama] recovery, the U.S. still employs 5 million fewer workers than before the recession.”

It amazes me that Obama’s poll ratings are still in the 40’s and he’s even competitive. This is due to the power and hold the media still has on people. Despite a failed economy people still view this man as a Sun King. The Obama Boom was lie that unfortunately too many people still are holding onto.

The Obama Boom: 69,000 jobs created and unemployment creeps up to 8.2%

Its been a rough week for the Obama Boom. Consumer confidence fell and 1st quarter GDP was revised down to 1.9%. Now the other show has dropped. Only 69,000 jobs were created in May. That’s right, just 69,000 jobs after all this hype that we were enjoying boom times. The unemployment rate inched up to 8.2%. The dropping people from being counted trick didn’t work. These are bad numbers not just for Obama, but for the nation!

The American jobs engine hit stall speed in May, with the economy adding just 69,000 new jobs while the unemployment rate climbed to 8.2 percent.

As another summertime swoon looms, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that job creation missed economist estimates for 158,000 new positions.

Labor force participation remains near 30-year lows though incrementally better than last month, rising to 63.8 percent.

The unemployment rate that counts discouraged workers rose as well, swelling to 14.8 percent form 14.5 percent in April.

[….]

The report comes a month after the government reported that just 115,000 new jobs were added in April, a number that helped contribute to a general malaise about economic growth.

Even that number was worse than thought: The BLS revised the April number down to 77,000.

With worries swelling over the state of the global economy, another weak employment report in the U.S. adds to fears that a sharp slowdown is on the way.

The average workweek, a closely watched economic metric, slipped by 0.1 hour to 34.4 hours. The manufacturing workweek dropped by 0.3 hour to 40.5 hours, and factory overtime fell by 0.1 hour to 3.2 hours.

All the media’s lies can’t hide the truth. There is no Obama Boom, what we have is the Obama stagnation at best, depression at worse. It will be interesting to see how the Pharaoh and his minions spin these terrible job numbers. This American dream is on life support and this jobs report should be alarming.

Bonus: On a day of bad economic news, Politico runs a post claiming how great the economy is in battleground states!

“Most of the swing states by the third quarter of this year will have a lower unemployment rate than the national average,” said Xu Cheng, a senior economist at Moody’s Analytics who compiled the latest state-by-state economic data and updated Moody’s voting model for POLITICO. “And most of the battlegrounds will be below 8 percent unemployment, which will negate the ‘grumpy voter effect.’” Cheng was referring to data suggesting voters will discount by half any improvement in joblessness if the national rate remains above 8.

The Moody’s model, which accounts for unemployment, historical voting patterns, per capita income and other factors, currently predicts Obama will win at least 26 states and 303 electoral votes. The model is one of the few to forecast voting patterns based on economic statistics and other data. In 2008, it came within 25 votes of Obama’s margin in the Electoral College.

The Obama Boom is the lie that refuses to die. despite bad numbers, the press on a daily basis proclaims an unprecendent age of prosperity. This doesn’t cease to amaze me!

The Greatest economic boom since the fall of General Seti’s fabled Global Nubian Empire 20,000 years ago is showing signs of trouble. Consumer confidence fell in May

Americans’ confidence in the economy fell in May to its lowest level in eight months as consumers fretted about slow hiring, a big stock market drop and the global economy, said a private research group.

The Conference Board says its Consumer Confidence Index now stands at 64.9, down from a revised 68.7 in April. Economists were expecting a reading of 70, according to a FactSet poll of analysts.

The media can one all they want but the truth is the economy sucks.

The Obama Boom: Some funny Comedy!

The media promotes the Obama Boom lie to prop up the Pharaonic Regime. They are now claiming that the job market is set to explode!

The U.S. labor market will strengthen significantly next year, with monthly job growth expected to average 200,000, according to a new survey published on Monday.

The National Association for Business Economics forecast the unemployment rate at 7.5 percent by the end of 2013.

The survey of 54 economists painted a fairly upbeat picture of the labor market, which has slowed in recent months after job creation surged early in the year.

“Economists continue to see things pick up, even if it’s just slightly from pretty low levels,” said Shawn DuBravac, NABE outlook survey and chief economist at the Consumers Electronics Association.

The survey, conducted between April 19 and May 2, forecast nonfarm payroll increases averaging 188,000 per month this year and the unemployment rate at 8.0 percent by the fourth quarter.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! They really believe this crap? This would be too funny if it wasn’t so sad.
