Obama Boom: Pending Home sales plunge in April due to bad weather!

Another stubborn and unexpected report on the Obama Boom. Pending Home sales collapsed to their lowest level in 7 months. The experts are blaming bad weather, yet again for this decline.  Keep in mind, the housing market has been in the dumps for 5 years now and no end is in sight. In fact, housing is undergoing a double dip recession.

Pending sales of existing U.S. homes dropped far more than expected in April to touch a seven-month low, a trade group said on Friday, dealing a blow to hopes of a recovery in the housing market.

The National Association of Realtors Pending Home Sales Index dropped 11.6 percent to 81.9 in April, the lowest since September. Pending home sales lead existing home sales by a month or two.

Economists, who had expected pending home sales to fall 1.0 percent last month, said bad weather in some parts of the country might have affected home shopping.

Another blame the bad weather report. Well the bad weather is called Obama’s failed debt based polices. These propagandists will never stop spinning!

The Yeti

The Yeti is a legendary creature that lives in the Himalayas. The mystery of the Yeti is one that has fascinated many for decades.Nepalese and Tibetans claims it’s a spirit. Many Western hikers claim to have had encounters with the Yeti. They describe it as Ape like and standing erect. There are many theories. Some say it’s an Ape. Others claim it’s a hallucination. The reality is that it’s spotted in a very remote and inhospitable area. It could possibly be some type of Ape like creature. It’s a mystery that hasn’t been solved.

The Himalaya Mountains, the highest range on Earth, have been referred to as the “roof of the world.” If that is so, there is a mystery called the Yeti in our attic. In Tibetan the word means “magical creature” and truly it is a seemingly supernatural enigma in the shape of a hairy, biped creature that resembles a giant ape.

The Himalayas lie on the border between India, Nepal, and Tibet (now part of China). They are remote and forbidding. Large stretches around these rough valleys and peaks are uninhabited. The tallest mountain in the world, Everest, 29,028 feet high, lies half in Nepal, half in China. It is from Nepal, though, that most attempts to climb Everest, and the surrounding mountains, are made.

In Katmandu, the capitol of Nepal, a visitor finds himself immersed in the Yeti legend. He is a commercial money maker for the tourist industry (there’s even a Hotel named the “Yak and the Yeti”) as well as legend, religion and fantasy to some of the Neplaese people.

The first reliable report of the Yeti appeared in 1925 when a Greek photographer, N. A. Tombazi, working as a member of a British geological expedition in the Himalayas, was shown a creature moving in the distance across some lower slopes. The creature was almost a thousand feet away in a narea with an altitude of around 15,000 feet.

The mystery of the Yeti may never be solved. Or maybe one day, there will be determinative proof that the Yeti exists. Maybe it’s just a hallucination. What is strange is that legends of this creature have been around for centuries. It’s possible there’s something to this.

The Truth is out there!

Massive Flooding in Australia

Given that our 24 hour news cycle has been focused on the shooting and the fallout from the shootings in Arizona, a very important story has been pushed aside.

There is massive flooding in the state of Queensland, Australia. As someone who has lived through a flood (Johnstown, 1977) and saw first hand the damage and loss of life that can occur, I encourage our readers to take some time and look at some of the links below and pray for our Aussie cousins. Temporary morgues have been set up, and evacuations are under way.

As you can See, Queensland occupies the northeast corner of Australia.  The major city is Brisbane, they are bracing for the worst flooding in 118 years. Here is the link to google maps so that you can match up the names from the below newspaper articles to the towns.

Here is a link to the Brisbane Times Newspaper that is being updated as stories come in.

.

I like this mayor’s warning:

The rising Bremer River has submerged numerous homes and businesses in Ipswich, with evacuations centres overflowing, Mayor Paul Pisasale said.

The mayor was furious after hearing of several reports of looting taking place in flood-affected areas.

“If I find anybody looting in our city they will be used as flood markers,” he said.

Sign of things to come

Ms Bligh said it was a sign “of things to come” in the days ahead with the Brisbane River expected to peak at 4.5m today and eclipse 1974 levels at 5.5m tomorrow.

She warned local residents to stay off roads if possible.

‘‘This incident is not a tourist event – this is a deeply serious natural disaster,’’ Ms Bligh said.

‘‘Stay in your homes – do not travel unless it is absolutely necessary.”

Major flooding is also expected across the border in NSW today. With the Clarence River expected to peak at seven metres,

I’ll bet you’re wondering why post on such an absurd subject. Well, we all know that originally, hurricanes were named solely after women. The feminists got pissed and subsequently, in 1979, male names were added into the mix. The ethnic background is pretty diverse.
Except for one group. Why don’t we see names such as:

Ali
Azzam
Bashar
Gamal
Hafez
Khalid
Mahmoud
Muammar
Ruhollah
Saddam
Tariq
Yasser

Yes I’m being facetious. [/snicker]
And we certainly can’t leave out good ol’ MOHAMMED! ‘Mo’ for short. Please feel free to add to this list (keeping in tune with the theme), then we can send this in to the National Hurricane Center.

Oh yes. OPEN THREAD!
