I had to restore my computer yesterday, and I’m trying to get back on to the folding@home. I know we’ve got a blogmocracy team, but I need to know our team # and what user name I might have been using. Can anyone help?

    That’s outrageous.

    There should be an election.

    It’s a Senator.

There will be. Just a matter of when. If someone is appointed before June 1, there will be an election this fall for the remainder of the term (until 2022). If it happens after June 1, the special election will be in 2020, again until 2022.

There is far to much money and power at stake to allow the mere citizenry to decide such important issues.

    2. The four chaplains of the SS Dorchester.

Lt. George Fox was a Methodist pastor, Lt. Alexander Goode was a Jewish rabbi, Lt. John Washington was a Roman Catholic priest, and Lt. Clark Poling was a pastor in the Reformed Church. They and about 900 other U.S. Army troops were on board the SS Dorchester when, on the night of February 3, 1943, a German U-boat torpedoed them.

The chaplains calmly got the men into their lifejackets and helped with an orderly evacuation into as many lifeboats as possible. However, when it became clear that some men lost their lifejackets and there was not enough room for everyone in the lifeboats … the four chaplains gave up their lifejackets and seats in the boats.

A survivor, Grady Clark, said this: “The last thing I saw, the Four Chaplains were up there praying for the safety of the men. They had done everything they could.” The survivors saw the chaplains link arms, sing hymns together, and pray. They heard songs and prayers in English, Hebrew, and Latin…until finally the ship went under and the men were swept under the icy waves of the North Atlantic.

When the British government makes peaceful political change impossible they will make violent political change necessary. And it’s not the job of the British Police to just follow orders like a f***ing National Socialist.

Try though I might, I always seem incapable of grasping the single most ancient of verbosity. “A plethora of words lead inescapable to a communal state of somnolence”.

I tried earlier today to say what you just said, though obvious the words got in the way…

Remember that Formerly Great Britain has had bad Monarchs in the past; that’s how we got the Magna Carta. Now, some really bad times happened before the lords rebelled, so things may continue to get worse before it gets better.

This is before the Tommy Robinson latest fiasco. A UK woman is filming
herself asking a cop why muzz are allowed to pray in Hyde Park because it is illegal. Shortly after, she records the police at her door demanding she open it or they will force it. They come in, arrest her immediately, and drag her out.

dammit. I can’t get the live leak to paste. Will try to find again.

There is a NEW EDICT out of the EU that came into effect in May. It is called the GDPR. It is ‘General Data Protection’ that PROHIBITS information from the EU being published. Wiki GDPR because it is Draconian restriction of freedom of the Press.

Of course, I can’t copy & paste the freaking stuff from the sites I’m going to.

    WIKI THIS ACRONYM NOW!

Ah, read the story. American media is blocking itself for fear of crossing the GDPR for some reason. I’d say that’s wise. Matter of fact, I’d expect a lot of businesses to pull back from the EU for fear of doing something wrong. The value proposition has to be pretty high for a business to take that sort of risk and with the vehemence that the EU has prosecuted other imagined violations of their rules, I’d say the risk is pretty high. Risk to reward is way to high to really want to do business with the EU.

Brit gives short answer why UK caves. True, however invading Europe with a million “refugees” is the larger issue.
