It is now apparent that the Islamo-Fascist regime of Iran has neutered the “Green” revlotion in Iran. There are still sporadic protest but through a combination of ruthless supression, mass arrests and de facto support from Obama the regime appears to have survived.

The End of the Beginning

Iran’s popular uprising, which began after the June 12 election, may be heading for a premature ending. In many ways, the Ahmadinejad government has succeeded in transforming what was a mass movement into dispersed pockets of unrest. Whatever is now left of this mass movement is now leaderless, unorganized — and under the risk of being hijacked by groups outside Iran in pursuit of their own political agendas.

This is teh result Obama and his Progressive allies wanted. The Left loves this regime and Obama did not provide moral support to the opposition, like Reagan did to anti-Communists. This is just another example of the Progressive-Islamic alliance and the global power it has.

Update: Ahmadinejad has vowed to get tougher with the west in his 2nd term. It seems all the butt kissing of the Progressives didn’t work. However it doesn’t matter, no matter how much Iran tells the Left to screw off, the Left loves this regime too much.

Ahmadinejad Vows Tougher Approach to West in New Term

June 27 (Bloomberg) — Mahmoud Ahmadinejad vowed his second term as president of Iran will be marked by a tougher approach to the West, saying U.S. criticism of his crackdown on dissent over the election shows the Obama administration’s offer of talks on the Iranian nuclear program isn’t genuine.

“If they think the government will be influenced, they’re wrong,” Ahmadinejad told judiciary officials at a conference today in Tehran, in comments aired on state television. “The government will have a more powerful and decisive approach in the new term.” He called Western leaders “the arrogants.”
