Back story: I originally sent the “IF George W. Bush” thing to my ex, with the “and let us not forget” comments”. He sent back to me the comments a Moonbat had sent to him, spouting the usual Democrat talking points, and asking for my help formulating a response.
Well, I did formulate a response and sent it back to him.

If George W. Bush had been the first President to need a teleprompter installed to be able to get through a press conference, would you have laughed and said this is more proof of how inept he is on his own and is really controlled by smarter men behind the scenes?
If George W. Bush had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to take Laura Bush to a play in NYC, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had reduced your retirement plan’s holdings of GM stock by 90% and given the unions a majority stake in GM, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had made a joke at the expense of the Special Olympics, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had given Gordon Brown a set of inexpensive and incorrectly formatted DVDs, when Gordon Brown had given him a thoughtful and historically significant gift, would you have approved? If George W. Bush had given the Queen of England an IPod containing videos of his speeches, would you have thought this embarrassingly narcissistic and tacky?
If George W. Bush had bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia , would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had visited Austria and made reference to the non-existent “Austrian language,” would you have brushed it off as a minor slip?
If George W. Bush had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with people who cannot seem to keep current in their income taxes, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had been so Spanish illiterate as to refer to “Cinco de Cuatro” in front of the Mexican ambassador when it was the 5th of May (Cinco de Mayo), and continued to flub it when he tried again, would you have winced in embarrassment?
If George W. Bush had mis-spelled the word “advice” would you have hammered him for it for years like Dan Quayle and potatoe as proof of what a dunce he is?
If George W. Bush had burned 9,000 gallons of jet fuel to go plant a single tree on Earth Day, would you have concluded he’s a hypocrite?
If George W. Bush’s administration had okayed Air Force One flying low over millions of people followed by a jet fighter in downtown Manhattan causing widespread panic, would you have wondered whether they actually get what happened on 9-11?
If George W. Bush had failed to send relief aid to flood victims throughout the Midwest with more people killed or made homeless than in New Orleans , would you want it made into a major ongoing political issue with claims of racism and incompetence?
If George W. Bush had created the position of 32 Czars who report directly to him, bypassing the House and Senate on much of what is happening in America , would you have approved.
If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved?
If George W Bush had proposed to double the national debt, which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had then proposed to double the debt again within 10 years, would you have approved?
So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive? Can’t think of anything? Don’t worry. He’s done all this in his first year, so you’ll have three more years to come up with an answer.

THE MOONBAT’s response to my ex:
Not sure of what you are talking about…57 states and other stuff.
I do know how Bush displayed his brilliance. Shortly after he took office the European leaders said something to the effect of we never saw a leader so ignorant of international affairs.
Some minor displays were the photo ops showing him looking intently into binoculars with the lens caps on and reading to children with the book upside down.
The invasion of Iraq as a threat to the US was the biggest blunder. Absolutely no threat there. They didn’t have missiles that would hardly clear their own borders. No nuclear plants. No Al queada. So Saddam was caught. Big deal. He was only killing his own people. We managed to put in a corrupt leader in his place. Cost us thousands of lives and billions of dollars. And it is not over. More bombings every day.
There was reason to invade Afghanistan. The goal was to squash Al queda and get bin Laden. We did pretty much get rid of Al queda there just to have it spring up in other parts of the world. We are no closer to bin Laden than we were on day one. Now it is fighting the Taliban which just grows stronger.
The hunt for bin Laden is nearly forgotten. We will never get rid of Taliban. It is an idea embedded in so many of those people and you can not kill ideas. And we have another corrupt leader in office there.
The Democrats are partly to blame for Iraq because they were convinced Bush knew what he was talking about and not just telling lies. Poor Colin Powell was taken in too. When he woke up he got out. He was a man I admired too.
The US has to recognize that not every country wants a democratic government. They want one based on their religious beliefs. When they are ready to change it will come from within and then maybe it will stand a chance.

MY ANSWER TO THE MOONBAT:
Since you apparently enjoy spouting Democratic talking points, let’s review, shall we?
During the campaign, the ever so educated and BRILLIANT Barak Obama stated he had already visited 57 states. Which is fine – because it’s ISLAM that has “57 states.” Last time I checked, we had 50. Maybe Zero’s gonna add a few. God knows we’ll need the revenue when he’s through. Of course we don’t know just how BRILLIANT Obama is by the way, because he’s sealed all of his academic records. I guess when it comes to transparency, “THE ONE” and I don’t use the same dictionary.
Please provide a link to the “European Leaders” who made such statements, as I don’t recall anyone saying any such thing. Of course, these same European leaders are now on record as being rather dismissive of the current occupant of the White House. Putin considers him, in effect, a pushover. France and Germany are conservative now and they loathe him. Oh, and I do know at least ONE President more ignorant of international affairs – Jimmy Carter. God knows his “reign” ended well.
As far as your claim that “two photos show how dumb he is.” In the case of the binocular photo, they snapped it just as he held them up. A journalist who was present said the President immediately laughed and took the lens caps off. I know plenty of people who have done this, one an ex Navy fighter pilot. Oh, and Snopes has a good one of Clinton doing the same thing. In the case of the “upside down book” – it’s a photoshopped image. Five minutes of online research would have told you this.
I cannot believe you actually typed the statement “So Saddan was caught. Big deal. He was only killing his own people.” I guess they deserved it, huh? Because God knows those little Kurdish children he gassed could grow up to defy him. I imagine you’re also pissed that we had a European front in World War II – after all, Hitler and Mussolini and Rommel had nothing to do with Pearl Harbor. In short, you are a monstrous object parading around as a human being. Maybe, dude, we go to war to stop a monstrous evil man. Well, most of us – I can’t see you putting your very important ass on the line for anyone.
The “Democrats” received the same intelligence on Iraq that Bush did. The branches of government are co-equal, remember? In their speeches during the vote, which are available online, Senators were quoting intelligence reports THEY had read, not that Bush gave them. I’m sick of your liberal mantra – Bush LIED, people DIED. Let me explain what a LIE is, since you don’t have a thesaurus handy. A lie is a statement made by a person that he/she KNOWS to be untrue. In law, we call it perjury. You know, like what got Clinton disbarred both from the Bars of Arkansas and the United States Supreme Court? Please link to the intelligence papers, documents, etc., that categorically stated that Saddam did NOT have weapons of mass destruction at the time Bush made the statement, and that he knew the statement to be false.
Until then, just keep drinking the Obama kool-aid of millions of jobs created, global warming, cap and tax, terrorists are really just criminal “folks”. I’ll continue to believe that the current resident of the White House surrounds himself with former domestic terrorists, racist preachers, and a staff of czars who have no practical experience and are at varying degress socialist, marxist and in some cases downright communists, and who is at any time, the least experienced guy in the room, having no practical life experience. A man who sounds like an idiot without the script of a teleprompter or receiving the questions in advance. (But Sarah Palin with three words written on her hand – now THAT’s something that could bring down the Republic!)
And I plan to give YOUR President the same respect and deference that the American Media, the Leftist Crowd and the Entertainment Industry gave MINE. Have a nice life.
