But, you have to remember that the scumbag was just here doing jobs that us lazy Americans wouldn’t do…/So give him a break, won’t you please?

The man suspected of drunken driving and killing a Catholic nun in Prince William County this weekend is an illegal immigrant who was awaiting deportation and who federal immigration authorities had released pending further proceedings, police said Monday.

The man, Carlos Montano, a county resident, had been arrested by police twice before on drunk-driving charges, and on at least one of those occasions county police reported him to federal authorities.

“We have determined that he is in the country illegally. He has been arrested by Prince William County Police in the past,” said Officer Jonathan Perok, a police spokesman, who said U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement was notified at the time of one of those arrests.

Officer Perock said Montano was in deportation proceedings at the time of this weekend’s killing, but was out on his own recognizance.

(Liberalism. The gift that keeps on giving. But I digress.)

A call to ICE was not immediately returned, but the incident raises questions about the agency’s policy of only detaining some illegal immigrants awaiting deportation, while releasing others.

The latest ICE statistics show the agency is actually detaining fewer people now on an average daily basis than they did in 2009.

The Sunday morning crash killed Sister Denise Mosier and injured two other nuns as they were driving to a retreat at the Benedictine Monastery in Bristow, Va. The two injured nuns were in critical but stable condition, according to St. Gertrude High School in Richmond, run by the Benedictine Sisters of Virginia.

I happened to find a list in the Washington Examiner of some of the crimes previously committed by this piece of shit criminal illegal alien-

April 2009…he was arrested for driving without a license and convicted in June.

October 2008…he was stopped for driving 55 in a 35 mph zone, and was found to have a .17 blood alcohol level. Montano was sentenced to three years probation and his driver’s license was suspended.

December 2007…he was arrested for being drunk in public.

July 2007…he was charged with DUI and convicted later that same year.

Though Immigration and Customs enforcement ordered Montano to be deported in March 2009, he continued to have run-ins with the law, and remained free.

According to spokesman Jonathan Perok, Prince William County Police notified ICE after both his first and second DUI arrests. The department is now investigating how the illegal alien was able to obtain a valid driver’s license.

Corey Stewart, chairman of the Prince William Board of Supervisors, issued the following statement on the case: “The despicable thing is that this criminal was … handed over to ICE twice, and released by ICE twice. He’s gone out an killed a nun. That’s a perfect example of what’s wrong with immigration enforcement in this country. The blame is on representatives in Congress for being so flaccid on the issue, and they continue not to fund the deportation of illegal immigrants in this country.”

This case is a tragic example of how the federal government has abandoned their duty to all of us. How many more innocent Americans have to die before either the feds do their job and enforce immigration laws, or the states ignore Obama’s meddling and do it for themselves?

Barack Obama and Janet Napolitano are just as responsible, through their inaction, for the death of Sister Denise Mosier as is the illegal alien who smashed into her.
