The Diary of Daedalus which started as a spin off blog has turned into a huge success. The origins of this blog are as funny as its target, Charles “Icarus” Johnson. Coldwarrior was tired of all the Chuck talk on the blog. One day drunk on Vodka, he called about 3:30 AM EST. I picked up and he was bitching and yelling that he was tired of Chucky talk, he said it was ruining the blog and holding us back. His original idea was to set up a CJ page, where people can comment on LGF stuff. I raise him one better, I proposed a new blog dedicated to discussing the Jazz Man.

Since Chuck’s stage name was Icarus. I took the moniker of Daedalus, his father who warned dim not to get close to the sun. The irony in his stage name was that it was a perfect metaphor for his blogging career.  He was at extreme heights in the blogosphere and let his ego overtake him. He crashed and is now a laughing stock on the Internet. The name Coldwarrior and I decided on was the Diary of Daedalus. It is a chronicle of Chuck’s lies, hypocrisy and deceit.

Diary of Daedalus is far removed from its humble origins, it is now a Blog super power. Thanks to the Boiler Room Crew and Chen Zhen, Chuck can no longer get away with his lies. He has no credibility with the Left and is despised by the Right. He is trapped in a  box and is viewed as the Howard Hughes of the Internet. Remember, all this began with a drunken phone call.

Charles “Icarus” Johnson was never was some great blog genius. All he is at the end of the day, is a Jazz Guitarist!

Rodan Note: Due to the situation in Egypt, any news and discussion of the events is encouraged.

Update: Chen has another home run at Diary of Daedalus.

UpdateII: Song and Dance Man wanted to add this to the origins of Daedalus.

What must be included in that narrative is the many of us who were tired of the constant Foster talk on this blog. I think you left that out of your post.

Comments are the sole opinion of the comment writer, just as each thread posted is the sole opinion or post idea of the administrator that posted it or of the readers that have written guest posts for the Blogmocracy.

Obscene, abusive, or annoying remarks may be deleted or moved to spam for admin review, but the fact that particular comments remain on the site in no way constitutes an endorsement of their content by any other commenter or the admins of this Blogmocracy.

We're not easily offended and don't want people to think they have to walk on eggshells around here (like at another place that shall remain nameless) but of course, there is a limit to everything.

Play nice!
