[With apologies to Jeff and Bil Keane.]
One of the least funny but longest running comic strips was Ernie Bushmiller’s Nancy. Family Circus comes in at a close second, and why it’s survived this long is a mystery to me. All I can figure is that Bil Keane had some serious information on someone high in the ranks of King Features, aka The Syndicate. Nothing else can explain it, Occam’s razor and all that.
BTW– Coldwarrior and I cleaned up the mess in the Rec Room after the, um, poker game earlier today, and we’re missing some chips. If anyone finds any stray ones, please leave them in the brandy snifter/tip jar on the mantle above the fireplace. (According to Hoyle, you don’t yell “Trump” and throw the chips in Texas Hold-Em.)
With that out of the way, let’s let the chips fall where they may on The Overnight Open Thread.
