Despite evidence the Obama Boom is a myth, many officials still have faith. Dallas Fed President Richard Fisher claims the economy is set to take off in the 2nd half. What data he uses to draw this conclusion is a mystery.

U.S. economic growth is poised to pick up in the second half of the year after a sluggish start, a top Federal Reserve official known for his hawkish views on inflation said Tuesday

It would not be “unimaginable” for the U.S. economy to grow 4 percent in the second half, Dallas Fed President Richard Fisher told a business group in the Austin, Texas suburb of Round Rock. That’s more than twice the tepid 1.8 percent rate seen in the first quarter.

I guess high joblessness, low wages and massive debt doesn’t matter to Mr. Fischer. Then again, he’s in Dallas, Texas so he’s probably just talking about economic growth in that state.

Play nice!
