Before anyone gets all upset, this is NOT a Michele Bachmann bashing thread.

Iowa Rep. Danny Carroll has issued a huge statement. He has declared Michele Bachmann “Biblically qualified”, to be President. That’s right this guy claims to be some bible expert and has declared Bachmann to be fully qualified under biblical guidelines. Now Rep. Carroll has a right to claim bible expertise. It’s a free country after all. But this is  a very bold statement.

DES MOINES, Iowa — A group of Iowa pastors and faith leaders said Tuesday that they support Michele Bachmann for president. The group met at the Iowa statehouse Tuesday to announce their support. Bachmann did not attend the news conference. The group said Bachmann is the most “Biblically qualified” of the GOP candidates to be leader.”It is time to decide. We want to offer our input, our recommendation of Michele Bachmann as a good choice for Iowans. Iowans who particularly take serious their Christian faith,” said Iowa Rep. Danny Carroll. The group describe biblically qualified as a person of truth, who fears god and hates covetousness. Bachmann they said is the best example of that.

This really takes a lot of balls to make this. Can someone explain what biblically qualified means?
