Progressives love Islam. They view it as a 3rd World Liberation movement fighting the evil West. Oliver Stone, who is now supporting Ron Paul is a very Far Left. His movies have portrayed conspiracies involving the CIA and other shadowy groups that conform the Left’s paranoia. His son Sean Stone has converted to Shia Islam in Iran.

The Left views Islam as cool and hip. This is why they support it. Sean Stone’s conversion doesn’t shock me. I am shock more Leftists haven’t converted.
