This comes as no surprise to me. George W. Bush always had a soft spot for Islam. He turned retaliation for 9/11 into a nation building project in Afghanistan and Iraq assuming that Democracy would spread and all will be peace in the world. As we have seen, the Bush doctrine/Freedom agenda has failed. What happened was the Arab Spring which was organized by the Muslim Brotherhood. Even with this fact public for all to see, Bush comes out in support of the Muslim Brotherhood led Arab Spring.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Former President George W. Bush on Tuesday praised the Arab spring movement and said the U.S. shouldn’t fear the spread of freedom, even if it doesn’t know what policies newly liberated countries will pursue.

“America does not get to choose if a freedom revolution should begin or end in the Middle East or elsewhere,” Bush said. “It only gets to choose what side it is on.”

And the U.S., Bush said, should always be on the side of freedom.

No Bush, America should be on the side of its interest. This wonderful Arab Democracies Bush is all giddy about is a the means by which Islamists are taking power. But what does Bush care anyway. Its not him or his family that will face the consequences of this Arab Spring.

Sorry Bush fans, there’s no defending this. He is an idiot on this subject like McCain and his girlfriend from South Carolina.

Play nice!
