Judicial activism once again rears its head. Despite the majority of Wisconsin voters backing Scott Walker in the recall election and thus giving him a mandate, a Dane County Judge spits in the public’s eye.
Dane County Circuit Court Judge Juan Colás has struck down portions of Act 10, declaring them to be unconstitutional.
His decision came in a case brought by the Madison teachers union and a union representing employees of the city of Milwaukee.
He ruled that several sections violated employees’ rights of free speech, association and equal protection.
Gov. Scott Walker said he was confident the state would on appeal.
This is disgusting and hopefully Scott Walker wins the appeal.
