The project would have brought 25,000 jobs with it, and I imagine many of them would have been entry level for the unskilled in the district. It would have brought corporate taxes into the New York coffers when it has recently been revealed that they are sorely needed.

Personally, I think Trump has played the Democrats for all they’re worth on this. He wanted $5 Billion and change for a Wall, and was willing to shut down (hah!) the government to get it. In the process, he’s forced the Democrats to go completely on the record as opposing any money for a Border Wall, essentially saying there is no real problem with illegals and caravans running over our borders, not seeing human trafficking and drugs as a problem to be dealt with.
He reopens the government, gives the State of the Union of his life, has a 72% national approval for his plans, and then goes back to the negotiating table. Democrats do no real negotiation in good faith, proving once again that they are liars. Meanwhile, his folks have been busy looking for monies that can be moved, allocated and otherwise used to fund that border wall. The cherry on top? William Barr has just been confirmed as Attorney General, which means he can give the $14 billion in criminal forfeiture funds coming our way from El Chapo directly to DHS, if my understanding of how the funds can be dispersed is correct.
Meanwhile, every single Presidential candidate from the Democrats is now going to have to run AGAINST a Border Wall and security. And now he can go on television and declare a national emergency, slam the Democrats for refusal to see the crisis and kick their asses.
I can’t wait for the rebuttal. Maybe they can let that bigoted Congresswoman from Minnesota to deliver it – you know, the one that married her brother and committed immigration fraud.

Yeah, the shared custody part has its own problems. Right now I’m fighting my ex. She wants to pull both kids off of their meds even though it has been repeatedly demonstrated that their grades perform better on them. However, he seems to need (as most of us do) a certain amount of consistent building blocks to retain the knowledge. Almost everything you mention shows that the problem is the educational emphasis which does not take advantage of his strengths. Can you get a different stream for him? You need to take the focus off the crazy history teacher I believe. She’s a painful sidetrack to a better general approach. I have ZERO idea of how your schools work, but you must have recommendations from previous testing, no? Are they being implemented? If they are not, then why not? Taking a different perspective might be helpful for you and your son.
