An auto industry titan has passed. This is the man who brought you the Ford Mustang, the minivan, and the K-car and saved Chrysler from extinction.

Here is a list of his achievements.

NZ needs 305 to beat England and possibly remove them from the knock out round involving the top 4 teams.

On instapundit’s open last nite somebody noted that w/the K car, Iococca used metric fasteners and thereby sealed the US auto industry’s fate. I have no idea what he’s talking about, he pointed me to more reading.

In other news, to celebrate the 4th, CNN is airing a ‘documentary’ on white nationalism in the U.S.

Why does the USA have a higher level of political integration?

Firstly, because they all speak the same language

And secondly, because they have very little history

They were born independent with practically no history

The only thing they’d done was kill a couple Indians

But apart from that, pfft, it was very easy

As opposed to the entire Indian cultures wiped out by his country, Spain

    @ coldwarrior:
THe Black Caps lost to England,

then Pakistan would have to beat Bangladesh in their final game, while also improving their net run rate (-0.792) to a point where it surpasses New Zealand’s (0.572).

To emphasise how unlikely that is, such a turnaround would require the margins of victory in both games to be roughly 220 runs – so even if the Black Caps are thrashed by England, Pakistan would still need to produce a historic performance to knock New Zealand out of the semifinals.

so, pakistan has to win by 330 runs. aint gonna happen.

    the table is thusly:

1 Australia plays 4 New Zealand

    2 India play 3 England

the ausies should handle NZ as NZ can’t seem to find thier game. India v England…that is gonna be a great match.

The question is vital to getting to the real numbers. (Though you know it doesn’t matter since they will lie anyway.) The dems don’t want to see that question because it could lead to demands to recount and redraw.

Listen. We all have to make plans for this and there is almost no time.

As of tomorrow, Trump will have taken over the country via the military coup he’s planning right in front of us. Two Abrams tanks and a people mover will surround Washington D.C. Stealth bombers on call. The man wants to be POTUS and live in the WH as Commander in Chief, and then we’re all fucked. The country we know and love will sink beneath the waters of the Tidal Basin as he speaks in front of the Lincoln Memorial. The sound of fireworks will mask the sound of the National Guard attacking the first Starbucks they find.

My plan – unless yinz have a better idea – is, Hubby wants tuna salad and I need a manicure. Also, ironing. The Heathen Beagles will be a doggy day care to play.

    Does that cover it?

I approve of this message. 🙂 While Shelton is a superior gold expert, her real goal, imo, is a sound monetary system. It’s great to have an outsider at the Fed. She is accustomed to being on the wrong side of the debate. The Fed zombies will not be a problem for her.

As a matter of fact, I don’t think we will ever see the return of a gold standard. Most of the alleged gold out there is just a bunch of derivative bs. e.g. while the price of gold has gone up, derivatives have kept the price artificially low for years. It is harder to FIND new mines and get gold out of the ground at these low prices. The same thing has been done to mining stocks which are acting as though gold was $700/oz. And those big gold and silver ETFs are utterly manipulated by derivatives. Naked shorting doesn’t help either.

It’s an interesting question. Gold advocates tend to be a much older crowd and know more about the history of the metal. They largely tend to think that cryptos are a ponzi scheme at best. The younger tech savy generations are more likely to know people who are into cryptos. You may remember the ‘crypto kitties’ fad where these things were being as commonly bought and traded as pet rocks.

The Commodities exchanges and J.P. Morgan are not only already into bitcoin, but have bitcoin derivatives ready to go. In fact they are quite possibly the main movers of crypto prices. Bitcoin in China has been a ‘currency’ used and commonly traded especially as the prices went up. China had to shut down their crypto exchanges to stop people from eroding their national currency. Rich Chinese got big bucks out of China through this work around. You can bet people in Hong Kong are buying bitcoin through other international exchanges while they can. The BEST term (which will not be easily adopted) for cryptos is “Digital assets.” Cryptos have escaped Pandora’s box and are not going back in. Sovereign nations through their central banks are well into development of their own official cryptos. Bitcoin is borderless, decentralized, and a direct competitor to all Central Banks. The U.S. crypto so far is called…wait for it…”Ripple”.

A reasonably big target but certainly not beyond the realms of possibility. It’ll come down to how the openers fare as they are both out of sorts and not playing well. The middle order batsmen seem OK but you never know when it comes to the Black Caps. The last thing we need is for the tail enders being faced with heroic last stands.

Could you break down that ‘other’ category a bit more finely?

    No, deliberately so.

“Other” could be students on study visas, people living for 6 months a year in the USA on B1, B2 visas, workers from overseas working for overseas companies which have a contract to do work for a USA company. All legal but in the “Other” category.

Also “illegals” are in he “other” category. So checking that box as an illegal does not necessarily automatically flag one as “illegal”

The IMPORTANT thing as regards the citizenship question is the “Are you a citizen” That is the vote entitled question.

In fact thinking about it, no need for the “perminent resident” question. I would happily check the “other” box even though I am proud of my “Green Card”

Actually [X] Illegal would be my best choice. Free health care, free education. Food stamps, housing assistance.

Way things are going here at the moment best thing I can do is fly to Mexico then swim back across the Rio Grande and climb the fence. (Or just walk around it) and claim asylum.

OK so my destiny may be taking a different course. I have lived in this apartment for over four years. Not the best area of Houston but we all get along.

Well I think we do, in 320 apartments I am the only pink person here but we all get along, smiles and sign language when we meet. I know no Spanish, most of my neighbors speak not much English.

Street vendors selling pupasas and chicken and tacos and this last few weeks sweet corn slathered in mayo stuff.

    Lately things are changing.

Very athletic males with pit bulls. And strangely they all speak a distinctive dialect of English.

It will be interesting to see how this works out.

Today I got my “appeal” paperwork from Texas Workforce Commission and It states who called me on the 11th June 2019 who asked me questions then subsequently denied me unemployment for he future and demanded I pay back the previous seven weeks.

When she called me to ask questions I detected she had a “dark brown” voice. Just googled her.

Yep, used to work at customer service at Target.

Now works to deny white males unemployment benefits.

MS-13 aren’t known for using dogs. We’re infested with them, and I’ve never seen a dog with them and never heard a police/crime reporting including dogs.

IIRC the largest gang is your area is Tango Blast. Google Houston gangs, that might have changed. But look for tatoos, they self-identify. Here’s a helpful chart. Also, talk to cops, they’ll know.

Imperial AT-ATs Begin Arriving In Capital For Military Parade

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Ahead of Trump’s planned July 4 military parade, several dozen Imperial walkers began to arrive in Washington throughout the week.

The AT-ATs were dropped off by U.S. Space Force Star Destroyers just outside the city and then slowly marched toward the capital (rather than being dropped right next to their target, for some reason). Military bands solemnly played the Imperial March in honor of their arrival. Trump was seen at the White House, pointing excitedly at the looming all-terrain armored transports through an Oval Office window.

“Wow, look at those guys!” he said while gleefully clapping his hands. “Do you think President Xi has any of those? I bet he doesn’t. Ha! Guy is probably sooooo jealous right now. And North Korea only has those little chicken walkers! This is definitely the best military parade on the planet!”

He quickly added that he “loves democracy” however.

Some light Antifa resistance attempted to milkshake the walkers but were crushed.

And it may not do him any good either. I’m seeing rpts that the WH is looking at whether Trump can sign an EO to put that question on the census. The fact that they’ve already started printing is meaningless – it’s just an additional piece of paper they can add.

There’s something about this that I don’t get. Why would somebody tell the truth about being here illegally? I had this conversation w/ a staffer at BLS who worked census data. This question was once part of the census (I think he said the last time was 1990) but the results were so obviously wrong that they dropped it and substituted some algorithm that pretty much reduces down to SCIENTIFIC WILD ASS GUESS.

So even if Trump does get the question on there, I’m not sure how much good it will do.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton withdrew from the cybersecurity conference where she was scheduled to be the keynote speaker, citing an “unforeseen circumstance,” according to an email from the FireEye Cyber Defense Summit.

Clinton — who infamously transmitted classified information over a homemade server once housed in her bathroom — was the centerpiece of the October 9-10 summit in Washington, where Clinton was to have “engage[d] in a Q&A discussion with FireEye CEO, Kevin Mandia on the geopolitical landscape and its implications for global cyber security today.”

Breaking: Communists Throw Burning US Flag on Secret Service Officer in Front of White House

Shocking photos show the moment Revolutionary Communist Party protesters in front of the White House Thursday evening lit an American on fire and then threw the burning flag on a nearby Uniformed Division Secret Service Officer. The photos were taken and posted to Twitter by Marcus J. DiPaolo.

“Communists burn a flag in front of the White House, toss it on U.S. Secret Service Police, who recoils in pain. Another USSS member comes in with a fire extinguisher and puts it out.”
