Super Duper Tuesday! 2020

The Dems role toward their brokered convention, riots in the streets and what ever other underhanded mafia arm twisting to prevent Crazy Uncle Bernie from spitting in the punch bowl.

It’s an open as well.

Apparently Wolf Blitzer says he might run for Senate, has formed an exploratory committee. I think the current senators are Cardin and Van Hollen, so that should be fun. The Dem party will not take kindly, Van Hollen is one of their faves and Cardin toes the line.

Serious question: Turkey is talking smack about going to war with Russia (which seems a bit over-wrought for 33 soldiers, but whatever)

Turkey is a NATO member. What are the obligations of other NATO members should this actually happen? Personally, I think we should let the godless commies defeat the muzz and eat popcorn, but that’s just me.

Bed time. I don’t have time t o collect all the links, etc., but it looks like Washington (the state) may be having, or about to have, a problem w/COVID-19. They’re doing genome sequencing and building the tracking, not liking what they’re seeing. One model is showing as many as 1500 infected, undiagnosed. Apparently patient 0 returned from Wuhan 6 weeks ago

    Sweet dreams.

Wrapping up the night with a CAO Session. First time with this cigar. Really great pre-light smell, I think it’s going to be a great night. Finally got all the boxes I needed for my cigar cooler and got it put together for the cigars that are arriving Wednesday. Only issue is I had some ice buildup on the bottom I need to make sure doesn’t happen again. Did a double layer of wood to help prevent it. Moisture should soak into the cedar and not pool under it now. Also switching to crystal jar and PPG solution instead of water humipack water pouch.

Because Turkey’s soldiers died in some other country, fighting Syrians who are not attempting to invade Turkey, means … meh … to other NATO countries!

Turkey has has many wars with Russia in the past half a millennium and has mostly come off second best! Erdogan is playing to ‘home audiences’ in Eastern Turkey where they still marry their first cousins.

From a mate who is an economist specialising in Asian economies !

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

My back of envelope calcs are that China’s economy contracted by 30% in March quarter 2020. Assuming workers go back to work in Jun qtr, the full 19-20 financial year GDP movement would be -8% to -10%. If work doesn’t resume adequately from Apr, the contraction could be 12-15%. Either way, it’s the most severe year on year contraction for any country since WW2.

Nah. Everybody at MSNBC has known about Chrissie forever, going public about it was just the excuse they needed. Because running his mouth about socialism never working and equating Bernie wins to the rise of the Nazis would get the entire MSNBC crew banned from accessing the Bernie campaign and they can’t have that.

    RIX wrote:

That may be a feature, not a bug. Because watch who they set up as VP. The idea being if Biden wins, he’s just the front man they role out with a script, the Deep State power will be the VPs office.

As a California voter who has “declined to state” a political party, I can vote for the DEMOCRAT ballot. The only difference between this and a regular ballot is that the Democrat Presidential nominees appear on it (California has a jungle primary so ALL candidates appear on generic ballots for the lesser offices). Word is out to do this among the California Conservarati to grab the Dem ballot and vote Sanders. We want that piece of Communist crap to go into that convention with as many delegates as possible.

What is going to be hysterical is watching Tom Steyer and Mike Bloomberg have a poor showing. California is not as anti-gun and pro-immigrant as Mini Mike likes to think it is and it’s only the liberal cities and Sacramento legislature that buys into climate change like that hypocrite Steyer believes (he made his money in fossil fuels),

My prediction is Bernie does VERY WELL. Have not seen ANY Steyer or Bloomberg signs/buttons; about three Warren buttons (no bumper stickers) and about the same number of Biden support. But BERNIE signs, buttons, bumper stickers are everywhere in the Bay Area.

I tell you, I swear I’m becoming increasingly apprehensive. I can see Biden naming Hillary his V.P. candidate, winning the damn election, and right after the inauguration, that harpy starting a 25th Amendment campaign against him that makes her President. And she then picks that piece of crap Warren as her V.P.

I imagine they’ll turn out in California even though I don’t believe Trump has any challengers on the ballot (only Republicans can obtain a Republican ballot) because of the Jungle Primary. The never-Trumpers want to defeat the disrupter Donald Trump because they want to return their positions of power and influence in the Republican establishment.

The truth is, they’re are not terribly conservative, even if they’re quite good at articulating conservative principles.

If one assumes that the number of asymptomatic or minimally symptomatic cases is several times as high as the number of reported cases, the case fatality rate may be considerably less than 1%. This suggests that the overall clinical consequences of Covid-19 may ultimately be more akin to those of a severe seasonal influenza (which has a case fatality rate of approximately 0.1%) or a pandemic influenza (similar to those in 1957 and 1968) rather than a disease similar to SARS or MERS, which have had case fatality rates of 9 to 10% and 36%, respectively.2

CW – I don’t recall any panic like this with H1N1 – people bought masks, people washed their hands, people were concerned. And Obama waited until HOW MANY were infected before he did anything? Did he even appoint a “czar” to deal with it? Or did he just send a memo to the CDC and say “call me if you need me….I need a vacation.”

At least 48 structures collapsed around the city, according to the Nashville Fire Department. In addition, windows were blown out and power lines were torn down in an area that stretched from the Germantown neighborhood, north of downtown, into the Five Points area of East Nashville and more than 20 miles to the east in Mt. Juliet.

More than 45,000 homes in the Nashville metro area were without power.

    oh yeah, election thing

The media will follow the Club rules on election day reporting. Results favorable to Joe Biden or ‘Never Bernie’ will be released first and emphasized. Results favorable to Bernie Sanders will be delayed and downplayed. This is also the first set of ballots that will include Mini-mike Bloomberg. The narrative coming out of this evening is critical.

Last Friday New Zealand had its first Carona Virus case. A 60 year old Iranian woman and a NZ Resident coming home after visiting relatives in Iran.

The resident Cinese community here staged a ‘run’ on the supermarkets that was if nothing else …. hilarious.

    Their main buys were.
Mega rolls packages of toilet paper
    Giant bags of rice
    and
    WATER!
    Seriously!
Just turn on the tap Ms. Chiung

It also falls from the sky at a pinch most other days here. Collect some.

It seems that old habits die hard!

Our solitary Carona virus case is in a negative pressure room and is improving. All of the folks she travelled with within spitting distance are spending the next 14 days self isolation at home and those passengers in the arrivals hall have been issued warnings to immediately report to the Health officials if they feel unwell for the next fortnight. The woman in question rode home in a family car and of course all of those family members are also quarantined for 14 days.

So far there have been 268 tests carried out with no positive results to date.

If only 11 million people have Obama-Care, how will 24 million people die if it is repealed? Will an additional 13 million people be randomly shot?

I was thinking; If Donald Trump deleted all of his emails, wiped his server with Bleachbit and destroyed all of his phones with a hammer, would the Mainstream Media suddenly lose all interest in the story and declare him innocent?

I was thinking; If women do the same job for less money, why do companies hire men to do the same job for more money?

I was thinking; Each ISIS attack now is a reaction to Trump policies, but all ISIS attacks during Obama’s term were due to Climate Change and a plea for jobs.

I was thinking; We should stop calling them all ‘Entitlements’. Welfare, Food Stamps, WIC, are not entitlements. They are taxpayer-funded handouts, and shouldn’t be called entitlements at all. Social Security and Veterans Benefits are Entitlements because the people receiving them are entitled to them. They were earned and paid for by the recipients. The others were not.

I was thinking; If Liberals don’t believe in biological gender then why did they march for women’s rights?

I was thinking; How did the Russians get Debbie Wasserman Schultz and the DNC to steal the Primary from Bernie Sanders?

I was thinking; Why is it that Democrats think Super delegates are fine, but they have a problem with the Electoral College?

I was thinking; If you don’t want the FBI involved in elections, don’t nominate someone who’s being investigated by the FBI.

I was thinking; If Hillary’s speeches cost $250,000 an hour, how come no one shows up to her free ones?

I was thinking; (this was the best) If Democrats don’t want foreigners involved in our elections, why do they think it’s all right for illegals to vote?

As for this: Black Lives Matter activist and Sanders surrogate Shaun King said Tuesday evening.

“They reported that the party has asked Bloomberg to drop out so that Biden would have an easier time against Bernie,” he added:

    Here we go

New York cases rose to six on Wednesday after officials confirmed that the Manhattan attorney’s wife, 20-year-old son, 14-year-old daughter and neighbor had all tested positive for coronavirus.

The 50-year-old attorney, who lives in Westchester County and commutes to his midtown Manhattan law firm, was confirmed as the state’s second case on Tuesday.

The attorney remains in a critical condition in intensive care at the New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center on the Upper West Side.

Health officials said the attorney has severe pneumonia that potentially put him in more danger than others from the disease.

His family remain quarantined in their home in New Rochelle.

The neighbor, who initially drove the attorney to the hospital when he started suffering from coronavirus symptoms last Friday night, is also under self-quarantine at home.

This attorney hasn’t been anywhere – but he uses the subway

WASHINGTON (AP) — Elizabeth Warren was huddling with her campaign advisers Wednesday to determine if there was a reason to stay in the race after her Super Tuesday wipe-out.

An aide to the Massachusetts senator said she was speaking to staffers and assessing the path forward. The aide spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal campaign moves. Warren’s White House run was in serious doubt after she finished a surprisingly weak third in Super Tuesday’s Democratic primary in her home state of Massachusetts.

    This crap is from UNICEF??

The coronavirus cannot survive exposure to temperature of 26-27 °C and above. It cannot survive hot climate.

If you dink hot water and expose yourself to the sun, it will do the trick.

Just to be clear 27C is 80 degress fahrenheit. Think about what the normal human body temp is and take it from there.

Am I expecting the ‘Gerbal Worming socialist Left to immediately come to their ideological senses and admit the reality of the whole farce?

Not bloody likely. Too much ideological skin in the game for that to happen. Too many careers based on lies and money streams established to flush it all where the sun doesn’t shine!

So I guess we’ll just have to keep playing ‘wack-a-Mole’ with leftist ideologues when it comes to ‘gerbal worming’.

Coronavirus: there are 2 types, Chinese researchers find, while authorities say faeces and urine can transmit the infection

They found that one type, which they called the L type, was more prevalent than the other, the S type, meaning it was more infectious. They also found that the L type had evolved from the S type, and that the L type was far more widespread before January 7 and in Wuhan, the epicentre of the outbreak.

    https://www.msn.com/en-sg/news/world/coronavirus-there-are-2-types-chinese-researchers-find-while-authorities-say-faeces-and-urine-can-transmit-the-infection/ar-BB10HP6x?li=BBr8Cnr

China’s Grand Belt and Road Plan Is Being Lashed by Coronavirus

The deadly outbreak is prompting delays and disruptions to China’s construction and investment plans overseas, risking years of planning and hundreds of billions of dollars in economic diplomacy. Quarantine measures are preventing Chinese workers from making it to foreign building sites, domestic firms supplying overseas projects face acute labor shortages and fears are mounting that workers will inadvertently spread the virus to new locales

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/china-e2-80-99s-grand-belt-and-road-plan-is-being-lashed-by-coronavirus/ar-BB10KPPr

And my bet is that it never recovers. I’ve said from the outset that whatever else comes of this, China’s ambitions of global hegemony are crushed.

Hubby has had one conference in Kansas City later this month canceled as of today and that’s simple domestic travel. He’s wondering if he should cancel the lunch at Mar-a-Lago but I told him if he doesn’t get that pic with Melania, this marriage is OVAH.

There was an article on Medium from a young black woman who attended the Vegas rally with her father. W/o citing ONE piece of supporting evidence, she wanted everybody to know it was ‘white nationalist’. I don’t feel like looking for it right now, but it was pretty sad. She seemed to focus on symbols that she had loaded with pre-determined meaning and didn’t get past that.

EXCLUSIVE: ARMY SPECIAL FORCES COMMAND DISBANDS ELITE UNITS

In a historic decision for the Special Forces community, the Crisis Response Force (CRF) companies are going to be disbanded and their operators and equipment redistributed to the force.

CRF companies are an elite cadre of Green Berets who specialize in Direct Action (DA), Counterterrorism (CT), and Hostage Rescue (HR) missions. Each Special Forces Group (1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 10th) has a CRF company, and they are considered to be the strategic reserves of each combatant command in case of an emergency around the world. CRF used to be called Commander’s-in-extremis (CIF) companies.

SOFREP has learned that the United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) in conjunction with the 1st Special Forces Command (1st SFC) have decided to disband the CRFs because they are said to be underutilized and because of a lack of operators.

The decision, however, aligns with the ongoing pivot from Counterterrorism (CT) and Direct Action (DA) operations to Unconventional Warfare (UW) and Foreign Internal Defense (FID) as the Department of Defense (DoD) is edging away from counterinsurgencies and gearing toward a near-peer conflict with adversaries such as Russia and China.

A move that foreshadowed the decision to disband the CRFs took place earlier this year. In January, the American embassy in Baghdad came under siege by Iraqi protesters and Iranian-back militias before and after the targeted killing of the Iranian Major General Qassem Soleimani. However, Central Command (CENTCOM), the combatant command that is responsible for that Area of Operations, and Special Operations Command Central (SOCCENT), a sub-unified command responsible for Special Operations in the same AOR, decided to deploy a Marine element instead of A Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group (A/1/5), the CRF unit responsible for the Middle East. The message was clear – we don’t need you.

A senior CRF operator told SOFREP that “the CRF hasn’t been gainfully employed since the end of 2011, and other than that, the National Mission Force [Joint Special Operations Command] can get there just as fast. That’s why all of the other ones are on the chopping block.”

Physicists Think We Might Have a New, Exciting Dark Matter Candidate

Something in the Universe is creating more mass than we can detect directly. We know it’s there because of its gravitational effect on the stuff we can detect; but we don’t know what it is, or how it got here.

We call that invisible mass “dark matter”, and physicists have just identified a particle that could be behind it.

The candidate culprit is a recently discovered subatomic particle called a d-star hexaquark. And in the primordial darkness following the Big Bang, it could have come together to create dark matter

    https://www.sciencealert.com/d-star-hexaquark-particles-could-be-responsible-for-creating-dark-matter

They’re always discovering new sub-atomic particles. Which makes me wonder if their math is just a bit squirrelly. Every time the math doesn’t work, you plug in a new variable and call it a sub-atomic particle.

Wisdom from the woman who has to take her socks off to balance her checkbook. Yer welcome.
