It apparently no longer matters if one is a racist individual or not.

Democrats to Use Pentagon-Funded AI System to Target Pro-Trump Narratives Online

Democrats have converted an AI project that was initially funded by the department of defense to combat propaganda from ISIS and other extremists, into a tool to track down and counter Trump supporters on social media. The “Defeat Disinfo” group is being advised by retired Army General Stanley McChrystal.

The project is called “Defeat Disinfo,” a creation of entrepreneur Curtis Hougland. It was initially funded by the Pentagon’s top-secret DARPA research agency, when the goal of the technology was to identify and counter online narratives from Islamic extremists. Founded by technology entrepreneur Curtis Hougland, it is still advised by retired Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal, who led U.S. forces in Afghanistan until 2010.

Now Democrats are using the state-funded technology to defeat Trump.

As initially reported by the Washington Post:

A new Democratic-aligned political action committee advised by retired Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal, the former head of U.S. forces in Afghanistan, is planning to deploy technology originally developed to counter Islamic State propaganda in service of a domestic political goal — to combat online efforts to promote President Trump’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic.

The group, Defeat Disinfo, will use artificial intelligence and network analysis to map discussion of the president’s claims on social media. It will seek to intervene by identifying the most popular counter-narratives and boosting them through a network of more than 3.4 million influencers across the country — in some cases paying users with large followings to take sides against the president.

I often wonder how many people believed that this “shut down” would be over in 2 weeks and that everything would return to quasi-normal status? We were told repeatedly that it was just to flatten the curve and give the hospitals time to deal with it. My question is were the hospitals ever really overwhelmed with it all? I know that idiots like Cuomo and that fat f**k in Illinois and of course Gavin Gruesome were begging for help, but last I saw, those makeshift hospitals in New York, the Navy ships, etc. weren’t even really occupied and that Cuomo never had to use most of the ventilators he received.

I saw that there has been all sorts of organizations out there helping the restaurant workers, but I’ve yet to see anyone wondering what’s to become of all the retail workers who have watched their organizations file for bankruptcy and close the stores where they were employed. It wasn’t just about waitresses, bus boys and bartenders.

One of the Antifa organizers in Seattle, an 18-year-old lesbian anarchist who wants to “abolish whiteness, capitalism, and civilization,” begged for vegan meats and soy after the homeless people they invited in took all the food.

“The homeless people we invited took away all the food at the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone.”

“We need more food to keep the area operational. Please if possible bring vegan meat substitutes, fruits, oats, soy products, etc. – anything to help us eat.”

look up and understand ‘autonomous’ moron

So George Floyd’s brother testified at a hearing on racial profiling and police brutality.

Uh, your brother passed a counterfeit $20 bill, dude. He wasn’t PROFILED. And considering that he was once arrested for pointing a gun at the belly of a pregnant woman while they robbed her house, I wouldn’t be talking about brutalilty either.

Chauvin was wrong, completely wrong, and should suffer the full power of punishment if convicted. Everyone I know was horrified at this and believes he was an out of control cop who should probably have been removed from the job a long time ago. But it’s amazing to me that all we hear is that this is a common occurrence. Okay, so where are all the protests from the other incidents?

And frankly, they can spare me with the “institutional racism” garbage. A empty suit of a Black man was elected not once but TWICE for President. And the voting booth is private – no one had to vote for him if they didn’t want to. Yes there are racist people in the U.S. There are racist White people, there are racist Black people, there are racist Asian people, etc.

What can be done? Frankly nothing. You cannot legislate opinion nor can you try someone for what’s inside his head, and most racists never commit overt acts against the group(s) they despise. They mere seethe inside. If the country, especially the South and the NRA were as racist as the Oprahs of the world would have you believe, there wouldn’t be a black person to be found south of the Mason/Dixon line.

I did notice that Oprah’s Racism Town Hall was on something like seven channels last night. I watched “The Six Wives of Henry VIII” with Keith Michell on my Blue-Ray.

RECORD COLD IN THE MESOSPHERE: It’s getting cold in the mesosphere. Very cold. “At polar latitudes (60N-80N) temperatures have been breaking 14-year records in the last few days,” says Lynn Harvey of the University of Colorado Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics. This development is causing noctilucent clouds (NLCs) to spill out of the Arctic to middle latitudes.

i was reading the mesoscale discussion and i am disturbed by what i read.

there has been an overlying layer of warm air capping any vertical movement of warm humid air. this vertical movement would occur on a normal day. the movement is capped and i not happening.

this cap basically makes a low level hot/moist air into a bomb. when the cap is released, the bomb goes off. i saw this same discussion in late may 1985. there were horrible tornadoes that night.

On the evening of May 31st, 1985, a devastating and deadly tornado outbreak struck the Northeastern United States and Canada. 43 tornadoes and numerous damaging thunderstorms tore across Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, and Ontario. This event was the deadliest tornado outbreak of the 1980’s; killing 89 people in total, injuring more than 1,000 others, and racking up more than $600 million in property damage. In fact, since May 31, 1985, only two tornado days have been deadlier in the entire United States.

The storms were the result of high levels of atmospheric instability present in an environment favorable for tornadic thunderstorms, triggered by the passage of a strong late-spring cold front. Quoting the original survey report produced by NOAA in 1985, “perhaps the lesson to be learned from the 1985 outbreak is that under the proper atmospheric conditions, major tornadoes can occur irrespective of the location or terrain”.

I remember that day. First time I had seen the air turn green. Had our final inspection for that evening in Barrie, Ontario (Royal Canadian Air Cadets 102 Squadron). Got home from getting my hair cut and my parents were following news of major storm in the area. Called my Captain and he was worried about his family that lived in the area of the touchdown and couldn’t reach them.
We went down anyway and arrived in Barrie to power outages all over the city. At the armouries, all the cadets that had arrived for the parade were busy setting up air mattresses, and organizing emergency arrangements. Including a check in table for worried residents. You have to keep in mind we were ranging in age from 13 to 18, with minimal adult supervision. Me and my family were eventually told to just go home. Our assistance wasn’t really needed and things were under control. Was very interesting over all.

Dem Rep Calls for ‘Secretary of Reconciliation’ to Eliminate Racism (VIDEO)

Rep. Al Green (D., Texas) said Tuesday that a new cabinet-level position should be created to “eliminate racism and discrimination in all its forms.”

“We ought to have a secretary of reconciliation who reports directly to the president of the United States, whose job it will be to eliminate racism and discrimination in all of its forms,” Green told MSNBC’s Craig Melvin.

Green said George Floyd, whose death at the hands of Minneapolis police officers sparked protests and unrest nationwide, should be honored “at the national level” with a federal effort to achieve racial reconciliation.

NASCAR is probably on its last legs. The France family has destroyed it. 20 years ago, you couldn’t GET tickets to the Daytona 500 unless you ordered them the previous year. I watched the 500 this year and the stands looked to be only 75% full. Last year, I was amazed how the stands were probably half full.

Since fans aren’t even in attendance at the races at this point, this announcement by NASCAR was unnecessary. ONE drive, Bubba Wallace, who is as skilled a driver as Danica Patrick and just as likely to be a force for the championship, demanded that the flags be removed. Who the EFF are you, guy? Go drive for Indy if you want to virtue signal. NASCAR has always been more a “Southern” sport than anything else, and the South does NOT forget that they fought the North for four years and sweep the hundreds of thousands that died under the rug.

All I have left now is the PGA, and so help me, if any of those golfers take a friggin’ knee at the first tee on Saturday, I’ll go watch reruns of
    “The First Churchills.”

Across the street from my office in Oakland is the very beautiful Snow Park. When we moved here four years ago, it was a mass of construction debris, garbage and a sewer masquerading as a homeless encampment. Today it is stunning, and has stayed very pristine. It even has a putting green that is utilized almost all day.

Oddly, very few of the users are WHITE.

  90. 93 | June 11, 2020 10:18 am

Interesting – when NASCAR came back at Darlington a few weeks ago, it had something like 6.3 million viewers. For Atlanta last Sunday, it had dropped to 3.96 million. And Atlanta is a hot track for viewing.

I will be interested to see what happens when they go to Martinsville on Sunday. Popular Southern track. There’s no competition other than golf so if it falls even further, I think there are 100 drivers, pit crews and owners that may want to see if they want to buy out the France family before they destroy the sport altogether.

I do wonder if the Confederate Flag thing statement was done in response to sponsors virtue-signaling to the teams that they’d be pulling their sponsorships. I know when the NRA sponsored a race not long ago, a lot of the other sponsors were pissed (too effing bad) and NASCAR did everything they could to hide the NRA logo for media shots.

In light of the recent calls for defunding the police from all liberal quarters, I am recommending that Congress establish a “Do Not Cop” List for the nation.

Anyone calling for defunding the police are requested to place their phone numbers and addresses in a national registry that can be accessed by 9-1-1 operators. If an urgent call for help comes through, the address can be typed in and a decision made to dispatch law enforcement.

If your name or phone number is in the national registry, you do not have to worry about your sensibilities being offended by your momentary panic in calling the one agency that could help you. No police will be dispatched, but you will be given the name of an on-call social worker to help you through this crisis.

If they question that BLM is anything other than a perfect, sweet, and friendly organization staffed with bunnies and puppies and that Floyd was anything other than a Saint then they are being removed immediately.

Don’t they grasp that the rioters are not their customer base? They will never be the ones buying from them? No amount of kowtowing will ever protect their stores from looting and fire? WHO??

Ok. Y’all know Meghan Markle, married Prince Harry and was moaning from the day after the honeymoon about everything, including that she was treated badly becuz ‘rassisst’ (her dad is white, mom is black). She’s a manipulative, dishonest, narcissist and everybody hates her guts and they’ve given up on Harry.

Her BFF is Jessica Mulroney, who is married to a son of the formier Canadian PM, Brian Mulroney. Jessica promotes herself as a ‘stylist’, takes credit for dressing Meghan (low bar, her clothes never fit, her makeup sucks and you can see her hair extensions and false eyelashes), and is every bit as self-righteous and smug as you would expect.

    She thought she was untouchable.

The judges seem a little hostile to Sidney (she’s first up), completely ignoring the BS appointment of amicus and Sullivan’s trying to add new charges. “Well, he could grant the motion to dismiss, couldn’t he?” I’m sorry, your HONORS, but this judge is looking for every reason in the world NOT to grant that motion. The judges talk about amicus appointed to help the defendant. That’s not the case here, you kumquats. This judge is appointing amicus for the sole purpose of further PROSECUTION of the defendant. Do these clowns go drinking with Sullivan or something? THERE IS NO BASIS FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF AN AMICUS. Period.

Waiting to see what questions the judges will ask Sullivan’s attorney. I don’t know if the amicus will be allowed to argue.

  151. 161 | June 12, 2020 10:25 am

I’m hoping the questions are simply to play devil’s advocate for each side.

Wall made an excellent case. It’s as if no one is taking into account, even though there is evidence in the record, that the bringing of this case by the Mueller prosecutors (i.e, Weissman) was strictly political. Sullivan has mishandled this case from the beginning. He should be outraged that Flynn was charged – instead he’s looking for any reason possible to send him to jail.

Oh for EFF’s sake – are they really using that “evil white cop used excessive force on a black perp because he’s racist” as a scenario???

  152. 162 | June 12, 2020 10:29 am

    @ eaglesoars:

Rule 48 of the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure. Allows judge with leave of court at request of government to dismiss case. They keep harping on the fact that Sullivan set a hearing. They are completely ignoring his appointing of an amicus to essentially find a way to continue to PROSECUTE the defendant.

  153. 163 | June 12, 2020 10:31 am

Sullivan isn’t asking for advice, you idiot. He’s asking that amicus to find a way for him to NOT dismiss the case, bring new charges and send Flynn to prison.

  156. 166 | June 12, 2020 10:51 am

What the everloving hell? Is this idiot attorney for Sullivan literally arguing that the case should NOT be dismissed with prejudice? It’s almost like they’re hoping that Biden wins and comes after Flynn again.

Yes indeed, let’s let Flynn run up more and more legal fees and costs because he now has to answer an amicus filing that your scummy client has now inflicted on him.

Public interest? Is she serious? Whether a prosecution goes forward or not is a question of guilt of the defendant. Where does the “public interest” come into this.

Sullivan’s lawyer was really tap dancing to me, making it sound as if he was going to grant the motion but was looking for some clarification. That’s BS. If he wanted clarification, he could have simply told counsel what he had an issue with and requested briefs on the subject. But this was odd questioning. The questions to Wall and Powell almost took on the tenor of “why in the world do you not think Judge Sullivan won’t do the right thing at the hearing on July 16th?”

Oh, I don’t know….maybe because he’s shown himself to be extremely prejudiced against the defendant during the course of these proceedings and has of late turned a deaf ear and a blind eye to any exculpatory and mitigating factors. But other than that….

Officers made contact with Delarosa and placed a blue plastic garment over her body to “cover her private parts.” She told officers she was walking naked because she was hot and was trying to cool off. She said she was coming from the area near the Salvation Army and “felt fine.” Officers noted that she “was able to have a coherent conversation and did not appear to be impaired,” the report says.

Delarosa also told officers that she hadn’t use any illegal narcotics and hadn’t had anything to eat or drink other than a small amount of beer earlier that morning. She was able to tell officers what day it was, the name of the president, the city she was in and the year, “Indicating she was of sound mind and body at the time of the contact.”

Paramedics from Ocala Fire Rescue responded to the scene to evaluate Delarosa. She denied any further treatment and refused to go to a hospital after also admitting that she hadn’t taken her medication “in some time.”

    “Guess what day it is?!”

No…it’s not hump day. It’s New Larkin Poe album day!

‘Self Made Man’ Review: Larkin Poe’s latest record swells with raw melodies and natural energies

Nashville-based Larkin Poe sisters Rebecca and Megan Lovell’s new album drops on June 12

American roots rock band Larkin Poe is all set to release their new full-length album ‘Self Made Man’ on June 12. The new album follows their fourth studio album ‘Venom & Faith’, which released in 2018.

Originally from Atlanta, the Nashville-based Larkin Poe sisters, Rebecca and Megan Lovell began their musical careers as teenagers in 2005 with the formation of a bluegrass/Americana group, the Lovell Sisters, with their younger sister, Jessica Lovell. After self-releasing two independent albums and touring successfully for four years – appearing on Garrison Keillor’s ‘A Prairie Home Companion’, and performing at Bonnaroo Music Festival – the Lovell Sisters announced the group’s disbandment in December 2009. It wasn’t until the following year, just a month later, that Larkin Poe was birthed.

Larkin Poe was the name of the sisters’ great great great grandfather, and it is also notably interesting that the sisters are descendants of the creative genius Edgar Allan Poe.

Over the course of their career as Larkin Poe, the sister act has earned widespread success and acclaim. The group’s cover of the traditional song ‘John the Revelator’ featured as the ending music in Season 3, Episode 13 of the Fox TV series ‘Lucifer’. Larkin Poe’s self-produced third album ‘Peach’ was nominated for a Blues Foundation Best Emerging Artist Album award. Their previous album ‘Venom & Faith’ earned them a Number 1 slot on the Billboard Blues Album Chart and was also nominated for the 2020 Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Blues Album.

At first, it is hard not to notice the unrelenting power behind the new album. If any sole message comes to the fore on ‘Self Made Man’, it is an announcement: “We are Larkin Poe!” It’s bold without hesitation, in-your-face, hard, gritty, soulful, and everything in between. Although recording quality is not crisp, as rich in synth or other electronic instruments as many other albums yield to lately, ‘Self Made Man’ wants you to swell in more raw, natural energies.

The new record’s similarly-titled opening track ‘She’s A Self Made Man’ is an explosive musical kick in the gut. With similar resonances to a Wolfmother banger, the track resounds in its opening with a sweeping rock ‘n’ roll rhythm and heavily-distorted guitar as Rebecca anthems, “Shooting out the lights, and the smoke alarms / Keep your finger crossed, I’m a lucky charm / Like a cannonball, moving down the track / Baby’s on her way, she ain’t coming back.”

Continue to listen, and it becomes clear that Larkin Poe wants to leave you impacted as they play their music. ‘Holy Ghost Fire’, the following track, carries empowering feminine energy underlining its sonically hard instrumentation. The song is a strut of female confidence over a musical muscle flex of masculinity, perhaps evolved into something more relatable for a wider audience. “Burn baby, burn with that holy ghost fire / From your fingers to the frets, gonna testify / Sing! Sing, baby sing, let your sorrow pass by / Lift our voices with the smoke, rising higher. Burn with that holy ghost fire,” sings Rebecca.

The upbeat ‘God Moves On The Water’, plays out a story, as lyrics recall tragedies from the past. “Year of nineteen hundred and twelve / April the fourteenth day. Great Titanic struck an iceberg.” and “The rains came down in twenty-six / Louisiana up Arkansas-way” and “When the streets of San Francisco / Buckled like a horseshoe belt / And the fires raged and the buildings fell.” Each instance is used to question the “moves” of God as “good folks” endure pain while the music kicks up a swelling trance-like frenzy in this funky, gospel chant.

The album is not entirely heavy in rock and roll. Larkin Poe’s Southern heritage shines through on ‘Danger Angel’. The band’s country and bluegrass histories are evident in the song and it is beautifully melodic, proving the sisters’ expansive skillset as multi-instrumentalists.

‘Self Made Man’ will have you elevated in emotion, relishing its powerful music, as well as perking your ears to its lyrical antheming and storytelling. For those who enjoy the country, Americana, roots rock, blues, and soul, this one is for you.

Last I heard, she’s working on a new album.

I still shake my head when I watch this. It’s the very first video they did as Larkin Poe, after Jessica left the band.

Today’s trivia: The guitarist they pick up on the side of the road is Mike Seal, who’s been married to Megan Lovell since around 2016. He was only briefly in the band, leaving when he and Megan started dating.

This would put the CHAZ in a position of having to either:

–ENFORCE BORDERS and develop an IMMIGRATION POLICY(this naturally implies a hierarchy and other fun stuff that Antifa will surely appreciate kek)

    OR

–SIMPLY COLLAPSING under the weight of UNCONTROLLED IMMIGRATION and lack of border controls

It’s almost as if Benedict Roberts wants a civil war. His ruling clearly violated the First Amendment. I’m not sure what remedy there is anymore other than a forced return of Constitutional governance and forceable removal of those who have violated their Constitutional Oaths. The Constitution is very clear in the First Amendment that no law shall prohibit the free exercise of religion. It says nothing about “except in the case of whatever the government determines to be an emergency”. The state can certainly issue recommendations and guidance and churches can take those recommendations and guidance into consideration when determining their course of action during an emergency. But it is up to the congregants to determine that course of action, not the government to prohibit, by force of law, the free exercise of religion. This is not a fine point — if the wrong people get in power, the definition of emergency becomes more and more loose until we are in a state of continual emergency with total government control. This scamdemic has shown that in the communist controlled states.

Well, given that the city closed the door to the RNC, I’d pretty much say that there are no obligations for which the RNC is responsible. Typical communists though, throw somebody out and then demand that they pay anyway.
